[Early Beta] F1 Nations Carset aka F1 Heroes
I am working on a Carset with 28 F1 Heroes of all time.
For each team are 2 driver of a country so for Germany are Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel the driver.
My cars are handrawing with Paint, so don´t wonder about the Images.....
Screenshots are coming when I have time to test!
I start this Set a year ago just for fun on my old pc, but I didn´t save the set on a cd, so I must beginn again.

I did something similar a few years ago but I struggled to find enough drivers for France

Intresting idea
Here are my suggestions:
Brazil: Senna/Piquet (quite obvious)
Germany: Schumi/Vettel (quite obvious)
Great Britain: Clark/Mansell (very difficult)
France: Prost/Arnoux
Finnland: Häkkinen/Raikkonen (Rosberg sr was sure quick, but these 2 impressed me more)
Austria: Lauda/Berger (if you take the amount of titles than Rindt would be the 2nd choice, but Berger was just an awesome driver)
Australia: Brabham/Jones
Argentinia: Fangio/Reutemann
Italy: Patrese/Alboreto (Ascari could also be a good choice)
Canada: Villeneuve²
New Zealand: McLaren/Hulme
Scotland: Stewart/Coulthard (I know that the scotsmen are part of GB )
Belgium: Ickx/Boutsen
USA: Andretti/Hill
If you leave Scotland out:
Spain: Alonso/Perez-Sala (just to have 2)
For GB it was a tough decission, due there are many. But in the end I chose "il leone" for his racing heart despite him lacking intelligence sometimes....

You could have England and Scotland rather than GB and Scotland, then Scotland could be Clark and Stewart and England could be Mansell and Moss. And how about de Portago rather than Perez-Sala?

England sounds good
tbh Perez-Sala was the only spanish driver which I recognized beside Alonso and therefore I choosed him

Re: [Early Beta] F1 Nations Carset aka F1 Heroes
Well yeah, it's not like there are many Spanish drivers that were any good to choose from really! Could combine Spain and France I guess, and have Alonso and Prost.
This is what I had when I made a similar carset back in about 2004 or 05:
Argentina: Reutemann and Fangio
Australia: J Brabham and Jones
Austria: Lauda and Rindt
Brazil: Senna and E Fittipaldi
Canada: G Villeneuve and J Villeneuve
England 1: Mansell and Moss
England 2: G Hill and Hunt
Finland: Hakkinen and K Rosberg
France: Prost and Alesi
Germany: M Schumacher and Bellof
Italy: Ascari and Patrese
New Zealand: Amon and McLaren
Scotland: Clark and Stewart
USA: Mario Andretti and Gurney
Some slight English bias there with having four drivers, there's definitely a case to be made for Raikkonen's inclusion instead of Rosberg, and Vettel wasn't in F1 at the time so he should probably be there instead of Bellof.

You need to save it as a 256-colour bitmap rather than a 24-bit one. When you save it, there's a drop-down box and the "256 colour" option should be in there. It will change some of the colours though.

okay thanks, will continue the work tomorrow after school
Re: [Early Beta] F1 Nations Carset aka F1 Heroes
I hope you don`t get any problems with the color palette. I`d open an existing car, save the color palette and import it into the new one.
I use paintshop pro for this, but paint.net or gimp should also be able to do this and both progs are freeware and you can do some great things with them

for my cars I use paint for 256 colors and PhotoFiltre for the details I use PhotoFiltre 6, from 2005 i think. It was the time, where PhotoFiltre was free and not shareware^^

Re: [Early Beta] F1 Nations Carset aka F1 Heroes
When you save the 24-bit-bitmap as a 256-colour-bitmap the colour-palette is different from the one GP2 accepts.
Solution: Take a normal GP2-bitmap (e.g. the basic one from GP2edit) and copy your bitmap into it, then save it as 256-colour-bitmap.
