Honda launched its 2007 season at a technical briefing for the media in Barcelona on Thursday morning, ahead of the first public test of its new RA107 car at the Spanish track.
The definitive 2007 livery of the first real Honda F1 car since 1968 will be unveiled in February, but it's our first previews of the 07 challenger, as usual in the black test-car colours.
Rooftop view of the RA107
The new pointed nose is the most visual revision
The RA107 has a tighter bodywork package than last year
The more pointed nose and chunky front wing
With the looks of their Shirts, looks like the cool grey-green / red / black BAR Honda logo colours are gone - I love that scheme.

In a time of global financial crisis... cheap motorsport is the key!! GPRL resumes in 2009!
Oh I wonder... surely it wouldn't be some white, red and black concoction...
Seriously though, I wish they'd use this interim black livery at the races for once. F1 has been missing an all-black car for years! The '98 Arrows was the last time we had one and that looked great, and obviously the JPS Loti (to borrow a James Hunt term) were legendary.

I already thought the same, but presumeably this won't happen
Probably not. Apparently most teams won't touch black liveries because the marketing men say it doesn't show up the sponsors very well on a TV screen. I'm sure Lotus, Arrows, Shadow et al would say different...
Well that's probably not far from the truth, when Honda were heavily involved in Superbikes with Castrol sponsorship (also green like BP) they were white with black, green and red bits. Didn't look too bad but not that exciting.
Apparently the definitive livery will be some sort of "eco-themed" one. The rumour is that it'll be a big map of the Earth. Nice to know that they make it easy for us to draw the cars...
What's interesting to me is that there is like two pictures of the driving Honda from this event, yet a million others from the other teams... either that's intentional, Honda didn't drive that much or I'm simply looking in the wrong place.
'Motorsport aktuell' from Switzerland wrote last week that Honda's new livery would be revealed February 26th... let's see if that's accurate...
