Re: 1950-ies carsets
Thanx! I hope you will like it.
Now I see that some changes to the car shadow are needed. The wheel shadows are placed too far behind.
I have alredy started to upate my 1952 carset, so I hope you will get it quite soon.
PS: Andreas, can you place the right Alfa Romeo .bmp image in the carsets' downoad section? There is Ferrari from 1950 carset right now. And on the front page too

Edgar, there are some 50's shapes edited by Antonio Pessoa in http://www.gprix2.com, maybe they can help you on your future sets.

Yes, I know. The shape used for the 1951 carset is the Alfa Romeo 159 carshape by Antonio Pessoa. For the seasons 1952-53 I have used Antonio's Ferrari 500 carshape. I think that for the 1954 season I will use his Mercedes 196 carshape.rremedio wrote:Edgar, there are some 50's shapes edited by Antonio Pessoa in http://www.gprix2.com, maybe they can help you on your future sets.
Generally these shapes are really OK. I just would love that the nose of the car was not that angular.
But the typical bugs for all carhapes I have seen so far are:
1. The shoulders of the driver (ex-rear wing) are appearing in front of the rear bodywork;
2. Sidepods are covering the rear wheels in some views.
3. Drivers head disappears when looking at it from behind

Another problem of the carshape is, that you have to place the exhaust in a certain height, which is too low for the Alfetta 159 for example, because it's exhaust is in height of the cockpit.

Yes, right! But there is also one mistake made by myself - on some cars the exhaust is little bit too long and the end of the pipe is bendingV12-Power wrote:Another problem of the carshape is, that you have to place the exhaust in a certain height, which is too low for the Alfetta 159 for example, because it's exhaust is in height of the cockpit.

Re: 1950-ies carsets
Looking to the engine cover I would bet on a Maserati A6GCM-53. But these colours, I don't know. Maybe a particular one, or maybe a Gordini?
