Simtek:
Another race to forget. Unmotivated van de Poele stayed far below his possible speed the whole season and will therefore be replaced by a hopefully more motivated driver. Truly a pity that a promising season ends like that.

Finally, the team is leading both ccs. Senna just need to finish in front of schumacher and he'll win. The team is leading with 7 pts. Let's see if we can get the constructer cc for another time ;)

Ferrari: our win in Japan is not changing our year. It is obviously something making us happy, but being behind other 4 teams, is not so good. Just one race and then we can focus on 1994's car.

Lotus: last of the teams with points, but still a year that - we hope - changes the inertia of the team and pushes it a little upwards...

Benetton is very confident with the current situation. "We are still in the battle for drivers and constructors championship, this season is already a big step forward for our team" said the team-manager. Now the team wants to take both championships. They hope that they can profit from Gerhard Berger's last year's experience!

Dallara is happy about a fantastic season with at least 10 points, but on the other side very unhappy that Lamborghini didn't want to continue with them, although they had two podiums. But the team is sure that the Ilmor engine will be a brilliant replacement.

Simtek:
The season ended pretty bad and next year will be tough for the team. Congratulations to Senna and Williams for a well deserved victory.

Ferrari: first of all congratulations to Senna and Williams for their title. What can be said about this year: at the end it has been disappointing, with just one win in Suzuka, since the car was clearly lacking some pace and reliability, despite being quite competitive during the qualifications. Ferrari has already appointed John Barnard and Gustav Brunner to design the new car, and the 412T1 is at a good point. The engine will go through an evo that will hopefully add more reliability. We are looking forward to be more competitive in 1994.

Lotus: this year has been an up&down season, but some good points have been achieved; we were qualified for all races, we caught some points with Alboreto. Unfortunately the car is lacking some speed and the reliability is far away from a mid-classement standard, but our next step will be to fill this gap. The next year should be crucial for team's life, we'll have a new partnership with Mugen and a new car - the 109.
Lotus has been very very happy with our two drivers. Both Michele and Alessandro have been very good drivers, and showed that they deserve a better team than Lotus - at the point in which it is now. But in this moment, we need all the experience we can catch, to collect maybe some lucky extra-points, maybe to have some info on car developing. So our preference goes to Michele Alboreto, that will help us with his knowledge. We would like to thank very muche Alessandro Zanardi for his help, and we are sure he can take the same way that Damon Hill took before him - from Lotus to the battle for World Championship.
"When you are fitted in a racing car and you race to win, second or third place is not enough."

1994 Sauber Presentation

Image

Owner : El Loto
Chassis : Sauber C13
Engines : Mercedes-Benz 3.5 V10
Drivers : Heinz-Harald Frentzen & Gil de Ferran

The first team who showed their 1994 Contender was the young Swiss Sauber-Mercedes-Team. The C13 looks close to the 1993 C12 if they ae compared.

Anyway, Sauber was new to Formula One in 93 and they had a superb debut-season with scoring four Podium-Finishes and becoming 6th in the Constructors Championship. Now Mercedes-Benz officially supports Sauber after the Engines were called Ilmor last year.

Sauber was able to keep Heinz-Harald Frentzen in the team. That can be an advantage as Frentzen was simply brillant for Fondmetal in 1992 and also for Sauber in 1993. The second seat is given to young brazilian Gil de Ferran this year - he moved up from Formula 3000.

Everything seems to be perfect at Sauber for another really good season. But everybody knows : The Second year is the most difficult year in Formula One.

1994 Ligier Presentation

Image

Owner : AAS
Chassis : Ligier JS39B
Engine : Renault 3.5 V10
Drivers : Alain Prost & Olivier Panis

Nothing really new was to see at the Ligier-Presentation. The "new" JS39B is only a development of the 1993 JS39 - but the car was damn fast so its maybe a good decision.

Alain Prost is still the number 1 driver at Ligier. The 3-times-World Champion wants to do it for the fourth time this year. Why not? They have the CC-Winning Engine of the last three years in the back, a World Champion as a driver, a very good budget, they have won two races last year and were very reliable...

The second seat goes to European F3000-Champion Olivier Panis. Sure he is French. But this isnt the only reason why Ligier choosed him - you can be sure about that.

Ligier - Watch out for them!!!

Williams:

Yeah! the team had a really big party in the night. Both ccs are very great for the team after a disappointing start of the season with many problems. Senna, Mansell and the teamowner were seen at 4.55 AM leaving the hotel to party in a well known Australian disco ;)

1994 Simtek Presentation

Image

Image

Image

Owner : Mäxx
Chassis : Simtek S941
Engine : Cosworth HB 3.5 V8
Drivers : Karl Wendlinger & David Brabham

The new Simtek S941 looks like a Simtek has to look - SIMPLY BEAUTiFUL! But we all know that this isnt everything in Formula One. It was such a disappointing 1993 for Simtek who took the Andrea Moda-Team from 1992... No Points - Especially the last Part of the season was disappointing. They didn´t qualify for the last Events...

So 1994 is very deciding for Simtek... Will they survive? You can be sure that the Drivers Karl Wendlinger and David Brabham will give everything for it!

1994 Ferrari Presentation

Image

Image

Image

Owner : Gabriele
Chassis : Ferrari 412T1
Engine : Ferrari 3.5 V12
Drivers : Jean Alesi & Riccardo Patrese

The new Ferrari 412T1 looks completly different compared to the F93A. And to be honest - maybe it has to. Ferraris goal in 1993 was to fight for the Championship. But there was nothing in the beginning of the season. In Suzuka Alesi scored a win - but that was all. A disappointing 5th Place in the Constructors Championship is too less.

The hopings for 1994 are big. Ferrari has to show a lot. Simply because it is Ferrari.
