Car bitmaps
Car bitmaps
BE AWARE
My graphic skills aren't so good (well, I'm just too lazy to do things right well as some of you did ), so I balanced it with some fantasy eh eh.
Do you know that car?
Did you liked it when you saw it on television?
Well... why don't drive it?
And here is the bitmap
PS: The Regazzoni's helmet that appears there is not my work. I took it from a a 70's carset that unfortunately I don't remember. I apologize with the author of helmet
See you all.

Re: Car bitmaps
In these days I'm dealing with a new task.
I wanted to create a new "real" team (I don't like 100 per cent fictional cars). I realized that I needed a scandinavian team.
I don't think Volvo is fit for a racing F1...Saab sounds better . Unfortunately, Saab didn't realize good racing cars , nor liveries.
Luckily, Saab is an aircraft constructor. And in that field I found what I was looking for.
This is a J-35 Draken in the special "Dragon Knights" celebrating livery. Looks great!
So, THIS is my GP2 J-35
I'm still working on it.
For example front wing is empty, I have to find a sponsor. And the flame fired by the dragon is still missing
But the real trouble is... I'm not able to paint well the air intakes . I DON'T absolutely want (1- I'm not able ihih 2 - my other cars have not these intakes!) to work on the carshapes, so I have to get the result only by painting.
I have tried 3-4 different solutions, but what you can see above is the better I managed to do. In the bitmap perhaps looks well, but in-the-game it doesn't

Dragon Knights - J-35 - Volvo Sounds good for a GP2 team.
I like the aircraft design.
But very hard to paint on the gp2 bitmap!?
Here is my attempt to paint the dragon.

Yes, your ideas are good..Too much complicated for me (I repeat, I'm lazy!), but great

Man, you're a professionist
It's hard to paint because it's hard to adapt the livery...GP2 bitmaps are always too little!
PS: SAAB, not Volvo.

Re: Car bitmaps
I like both bitmaps.
I'm on the verge of making my own carset with my own ideas for strong Grand Prix teams, so these ideas are always nice inspirations.

Now, I will publish an older stuff.
In my opinion, French team is Matra; I don't like Ligier or Prost...and the classical Renault is yellow, while I needed a blue-team!
So, here is my Matra-Cosworth of the 21st century. Notice the cool Reebok sponsor
Last version (below) was made 2 months ago.
First "final" version (this one) was made in October, 2002! I didn't realize my earlier cars were so old!
Well, in effect the two versions are the same, except for numbers (I used Matra team in different carsets with different numbers). Enjoy!
PS: if you would like to download the bitmap, be aware. Imageshack has changed the extension of the image in .png . I don't know why. Be sure to rename the file before importing in Gp2Ed..
Re: Car bitmaps
Nice car dude old but nice Im very happy because GP2 community is alive and still somebody read this
Re: Car bitmaps
After the Draken Saab, another jet-car..This time, directly from Russia...
The MIKOYAN-GUREVICH car
The original livery comes from one of the Russian aerobatics display teams , the "Strizhis" (="Swifts")
Car bitmaps. Above there is the classical scheme, below there's the number placed in NL's carsets way.
I can't still understand why image hosting sites refuse to upload bmp images and change the extension in .png. Umpgfr.
Enjoy.

You are getting better and better. The last one is the best one - I like this blue part!

Re: Car bitmaps
Thank you very much!
That damned swift there took me a huge (!) quantity of work; I was becoming mad , because the original is a nearly-2d design, while I had to transport it in a 3d shape! . Compared to that, the Mig logo was simple to draw!!!
But I LIKE IT!
