Nice video. 8)

I think, however, that this year's Monaco Grand Prix could be quite interesting, precisely because traction control and the engine braking stuff will be gone this year. I hope that's going to have a little effect on the challenge especially on that circuit.

Although we'll almost certainly be in premium safety car territory at that race... so everyone should better have some extra fuel on board.

That's impressive! The old hand shifting was not that easy to handle (as far as I know). On the one side because you had to take one hand from the steering wheel and on the other side you could make mistakes (shift into the wrong gear), which meant a ruined engine (because suddenly there were much too high revs). That would not be possible with today's paddle shifting.

And not to forget, Senna was the best of his time. No one was faster on one lap than him.

How the hell he only got a broken ankle I'll never know! This is from Sunday's Monza 1000kms race.

This - and kovalainen's crash - shows how safe the modern cars are. 10 - 15 years ago, we would have 2 racing drivers less... :|

Definitely. Luciano Burti's Spa accident was pretty much exactly the same as Kovaleinen's, that was only seven years ago and he was out for the season, yet Kovaleinen should be racing in Turkey...

On the same subject, I saw Kubica's accident from Montreal last season again yesterday, I still can't believe he was barely even injured. It's been a while since I saw it (about six months) and the violence of the crash is sickening! Max Mosley and Jean-Marie Balestre may have had their faults as FISA/FIA presidents but it's because of their leadership that cars are as safe as they are.

Safets is one of the most imortant things, it`s good to see that the security is so high now. There will always be a rest risk, but this is truly minimated =D>

If you saw such a big crash a few years ago, you knew that the driver would have been most likely more than slightly injured. Would be interesting how many drivers would aid the others like Senna did here -> http://youtube.com/watch?v=LuB1f0JMjEM

Yes, it worked well. Did you do that with screencapture and then a gifanimator? I did some vids with that technique in the "early days", pretty much work ;)

P.S.: I didn`t know that vid, nice addition :)

On my computer it works as well. I think there are no problems. I hope there will be some videos to add in the future (if I would get it working, I would like to make some).

The vid is from 1996 (?) and it is from MicroProse.
I did some vids with screencapture and then a gifanimator some years ago.

For the new videos I use a more modern technology.
I have vista.
-Microsoft Virtual PC installed.
-win98 within a Virtual PC installed.
-GP2 under win98 installed.

When I start GP2 (-Vista -Microsoft Virtual PC -win98 -GP2) it runs in a window on my Vista Desktop.

I capture and save videos from the GP2 window with CamStudio 2.0 http://camstudio.softonic.de/ (small and free) .

Then I work on the vids with Windows Movie Maker

and convert the videos with Any Video Converter http://www.any-video-converter.com/prod ... ideo_free/
