Question

Post by gipfelstuermer »

Hi,
I have a problem with my performance. I worked on a setup for Pazifik (in practise) and i thought it is good, but in the championship race I was 1,5-2 seconds slower then before.
Have you got an idea? Which setting is used in the race? The last one I used in the pre-race?

Best regards,

First, hi and welcome! :)

I think when you start a new event, i.e. test, single race, non-championship race or championship it always goes back to the default setup.

Did you save the setup you made during testing? I'd recommend that, because then, you can reload it when you're in the garage during the weekend, via the setup options.

Yes, I saved it. During the whole weekend I used this setup, but only during the race I drove slower.

In the "Car Setup Standard Menu" you can select "Separate Race and Qualifying Setups" yes/no

I select no.

I have the same problem on all courses, I tested it today. I can't drive the same times in race and test with the same setup.

Maybe it's because the car has less power in race/practice, then in qualifying?

Maybe it has to do with the fuel load? :-k

No. :D

Or is it normal, that I can't reach the same times in race and test?

In real racing it's very rare that the times during a race are as fast as in testing and qualifying, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

And in addition to the fuel load and the engine power, there comes maybe the fact, that the tyres are special qualifiers, that have more grip. I think all in all those factors could really explain this difference!
