Anyway:
Fondmetal is not pleased with the outcome. 1 second off the next phase and a Coloni faster is a step backwards. Coloni on the other side was surprised and stunned at the same time. Chaves did really great and the team gained much confidence for the next races.

Fondmetal is very happy to have finally made it into a race. Allthough it wasn`t finished the team is very happy with that.

Coloni never had a chance on Hockenheim with that reasonable engine, but still did better than expected.


Great the Pre-Qual-Sys changed, seems like Fondmetal hopefully be in more races in the rest of the season. Btw, there are still some seats in our GP2Fans 2009er carset available

Ferrari
It's not exactly where I thought we could be, in this moment. Ok, fighting with McLarens and Williams' could be fascinating but... what about winning sometimes? Not exactly reliable, not exactly super-fast, drivers not good but not bad. This... kind of mediocrity is frustrating! Ok... I guess I'll have a talk with the team. And with Alain, most of all. I'm expecting something more from him.
Lotus
I do not even know where to start. Sliding towards the pre-qual is embarassing. Being not able to qualify is even worser. Things are going so badly that I am considering quitting the team at the end of the year. Michael and Damon are putting all their efforts within driving, and so does the crew, the technicians... but the whole is a no-result. Let's see what happens next...

Fondmetal is very pleased with the development of the last 3 races and Giovanna Amati is very happy with her car. The rumors of Amati driving a Brabham next year became silent.

Coloni took the chance on free Moreno and after a little help of his sponsor the replacement was perfect. The car is still not very competitive at the moment and getting trough the pre-qual remains the current main goal. Moreno on the other side hopes to get a good cockpit next year, when he delivers a good performance here.

Benetton: Rumours that Nelson Piquet could be replaced by another young talent where denied by the Benetton Team: "Even if Michael is a big talent for the future, Nelson is still our lead driver. We need his experience to guide Michael and for the developement of the car. We're sure that he'll be able to score important points for the team again!".

Scuderia Italia/Dallara: Bepe Lucchini stated: "Finally we're able to transfer our good performance into points. But what a pity for Emanuele again, we will have to work hard to improve our car's reliability for the next races."

Fondmetal:
The 4th Qualification in a row is very positive. Unfortunately the team couldn`t take advantage of the many retirements. The crew hopes for some good results to attract a sponsor for a higher budget next season.

Coloni:
The contract with Moreno was very positive and truly like a christmas gift for the team. On the other side he overshines Chaves totally and the team hopes for a better performance of the car in the future. Moreno is also a great help with technicaly analysis and Chaves wants to lern many things from him.

Today is a real mixture of feelings. Yes, we won, but it is very hard to forget that we would be here speaking of a podium, without Alesi's loose wheel. This victory gives morale anyway to the team. It's a pity Riccardo could not be able to complete the podium, but he tried to. Sometimes it's ok, sometimes you are not good enough. [...] The future? No, I do not want to talk about the future, let us be happy today. This is a step forward, but it's only a step. Now we have to walk. Run, possibly. [...] Prost's contract for 1992 season? Nothing is sure ever...

Again we are talking about nothing. I could spend hours explaining how much efforts we put on every race weekend, on every single test lap, on every carbon piece is coming out from the factory. But I cannot spend a single minute explaining what the heck is going on, and why we do not qualify anymore. That's a harsh decision, but the developing of this car has been blocked by me. We put all our hope - and all our efforts - to next year's car.

I would prefer not to comment today's results, but I have to answer to your questions... , please start.
Question: What about the vice-world champion? Another disappointing race..
Answer: as I told on the last race, I appreciate drivers that show determination during the weekend. Sometimes the results are coming, sometimes not. The important is to try.
Q: do you feel that Ferrari and Prost may split up parts at the end of the season?
A: to tell you the truth, yes. We are not giving Alain a perfect car. Alain is probably demotivated. We had some talks, but we'll make up our minds at the end of next race.
Q: what about Patrese?
A: Riccardo is a good driver. He's bringing points to Ferrari. That's what I'm expecting from him, and that's what he does.

Q: So, what are your comments to today's race?
A: Being able to qualify has been positive. Unfortunately the engine left Hill with nothing, but a slight improvement is better than no improvement at all. I'm happy with Damon.
Q: how do you comment Bartels' statements after his DNPQ?
A: I've read that he claimed a seat for 1992. He wants to go away from Lotus? No problem, I can understand him. But to tell you the truth, Hill is driving the same car, and he's probably as frustrated as Michael. But he'is not telling to the press "hey, here I am, hire me".

Fondmetal:
Another time on the grid, another time the finishline is crossed. Things are getting better and better, with some luck and a better position in the last races there might be an even better position in the constructor`s championship table possible.
The negotiations with Amati for the next year have begun and the team is thinking of the usage of 2 cars, but this will strongly depend on the budget and hopefully more sponsorship money.

Coloni:
Chaves did really well, being as fast as Moreno but still not beeing able to be on the grid on a regular basis. Funds are getting low and the Andrea Moda group proclaimed interests in buying the team. The team feels sorry for Moreno, who showed pretty much talent and deserves a better car.
