I don't think the ACO does not enough for the safety. But the issue is just very difficult, that difficult that we actually can't really discuss about it, as we are no aerodynamic-engineers and have no programs to simulate the behaviour of the cars in these situations.

A first simple step into the right direction is to reduce the power and with that the top-speeds of the cars, what the ACO does for the next season.

The second field are the aerodynamics. The current cars already have a high ride height, a skid block and other devices, which were supposed to avoid these kind of airbone-accidents. So that's why I think the ACO did already a lot for the safety issue.

The change of the aerodynamics would be no problem in my opinion: You can allow the teams to modify their cars in a longer period, like it happened between in 2004 and 2005 (I think).

Well, an exciting race! But the Peugeots had done very stupid manoevers, and dont forget: it was a 1000km race, so they had all the time in the world.

There were lot of other heavy crashes, too. I think it was a good action for the audience. But as you said, they have to keep the security of the drivers and spectators. We dont want to see cars flying into the crowd, that would be the immediately end of this beautiful serie.

Next year i have to be in Spa. There are no excuses!

Hmm, I had fallen in a deep hole of demotivation (related to GP2-activity) for two month or so. Nothing happenend there. Before that, I made very good progress. Now I'm trying to finish it. Still motivation lacks a bit, but I hope to have it done until the end of the year.

I dont understand. The LMS-CarSet 2008 is already done and uploaded, isnt it? Or do you mean, that some cars are still with no sponsors?

The 2008 carset that is uploaded, is a pre-season version. There is more to come, a "finished season" carset.

Yes, Christmasday is my goal now! :-)

The carset will be a Le Mans 24h carset. Later I'll release a LMS full-season carset.

I adore this carset!!

Are there any plans to do some sportscar sets from other seasons?

I love the SWC 91 carsets, and this one, but how about some GT sets from 97, 98, 99

The good 'ol days of sportscars is what we want!!

When the LM and LMS carsets are finished, I'll continue with the 1992 sportscar carset (with cars form WSC, IMSA, JSPC). I would also like to make a 1989 or 1990 WSPC carset once, but I don't believe yet, that this will happen.

About 97, 98, 99: I would like to make a set for all of those years, but this isn't possible (reason: lack of time ;-)). But a 1999 carset based a bit on Chris Rimmer's work is at least started. But a lot of cars are missing and the existing cars don't settle my claim.

And: Thank you for your kind words, it's always motivating!

Btw: 7 cars are completely finished, 5 need only some minor updates, 1 needs all sponsor logos and 1 doesn't exist yet.

Now 9 cars are complete, 4 are "only" missing some sponsors and 1 is not started yet. And 7 menu arts still need to have a new picture included, but I hope to find some good pics soon.

Very bad news!!! Audi will build a new car (R15 TDI) for 2009, BUT cancels it's LMS-program!!

So there seem to change many things in the LMS for 2009, and most likely not into something better. :(

That's a negative surprise, after all, the competition between Audi and Peugeot was one of the reasons last season was interesting to follow and watch... good to see Audi are nevertheless committing to the launch and development of a new car, though. If they are still returning to the ALMS, they would seem to be doing essentially the same program as 2007.

Bad news, of course! :|

However, this week i will start my first LMS-Season (50% race-distance). I will drive one of the Epsilons and the calender looks like this:

1 Sentul
2 Macau
3 Mugello (i would prefer Misano or Pergusa, but they arent available)
4 Pau
5 Valencia
6 Anderstorp
7 Le Mans
8 Oulton Park
9 Norisring
10 Assen
11 Most
12 Sebring
13 Puebla Amozoc
14 Curitiba
15 Bogota
16 Bathurst

i choose only non-F1 tracks, because i'm driving them in my three f1-seasons of 1976, 1987 and 2008. My aim is to finish the championship in the first 3 places. I hope it works!
