Thanks Tim. I did a lot of work in balancing the grip and weight against the power, hopefully it's all turned out OK.

Most of the time it's right... \:D/ Depending on the track and his settings. The original 1994 Microprose tracks are correct. 8)

You can really see the differences between the cars, because of the carshape, and the way you paint them, it's really realistic on such a small scale... =D> =D> =D> =D>

I think the driver performances are around 1500-2000 points too low. If you watch a race it often appears, that cars almost stop even it's not really necessary, the driving-style of many pilots is not very smooth. I would increase the performance points tbh.

Yeah perhaps they are a bit slow at times, I think some of that is the GP2 AI though, you know how the AI sometimes makes the CC-cars over-react aat times (especially at race starts). I don't want to make the cars too fast though because I want the lap times to be fairly accurate.

Anyone else got any ideas for improvements? All ideas gratefully received.

Update: I've decided I'm really not happy with some of the cars (Alfa Romeo especially) so I'm going to redo the whole car set from scratch. Basically I'm not happy with the procedures I use to draw the cars so I'm doing everything in a different way to how I have before. It'll make it easier to make the 2007 carset as well. Don't expect to see much for a while!

Sorry HF, I've pretty much scrapped the lot. Basically all the templates and stuff I use to draw are all based on when I first started patching and i did a pretty half-arsed job, to be honest. So now I'm doing the whole lot again.

Why are you planning to restart from scratch? I can't understand that... the set is excellent!

I'm just not happy with how I've done it. I was always planning on revamping all the stuff I use but I was going to do it for all the 2007 carsets I'll be doing. However there's no point doing a load of cars for 2006, then doing all it all different for the 2007 one when they're the same cars. If you get me. Basically it's my obsessive-compulsive side coming out!

Yeah, just a quick update. I've started on the 2007 carset now, and updating the full 2006 set as I go. There's a tweak to the carshape (FK already knows as he did it...) and I'm drawing some car templates with better shading and prettier wheels at the moment. Once they're all done the rest of the carset should be relatively simple. Hoping to have both 2006 and 2007 done at some point in the new year. Got a couple of other projects in the pipeline as well (not WTCC-related), not done much work on these yet though so no details as yet...

A thing you should change in the new version is the weight of the players car. While the cc-cars weigh 1140kg, it weighs 1390kg. [-X ;-)

EDIT: I changed it, but the cc-cars got also faster then... :-k
