NEW TOURING CARS

This is to kind of detract from my world rallying carset idea, as while I am trying to make a world rally set, I think touring cars has more scope.

I have so far made a Citroen C4 and a Lincoln LS Sport in racing livery.

Any more touring car suggestions? I am prepared to do lots of new models that are NOT WTCC, BTCC, DTM or V8 Supercars or anything like that!!

I have now made a Subaru Impreza, a Skoda Fabia, a Hyundai Accent and a Renault Megane.

I'm on course for making a Mitsubishi Evo and a Mazda 626 next. Any more suggestions??

Maybe you could take some screenshots and show them to us? Something visual is always much more interesting (I think that at least).

Some ideas: Cadillac CTS-V, Lexus IS 350, Opel Astra, VW Scirocco, Jaguar S-Type.

EDIT: And maybe it would be possible to include a Audi 90 GTO!? That's a really awesome car!

Like your ideas! Particularly the VW Scirocco.

One slight issue: I don't know how to make screenshots!! Or videos for that matter......

Right, I'm now going to bed having just finished a Vauxhall Vectra in 1998 Triple Eight Engineering livery (just because I think it looks ace) and an Audi CR8. Yes it looks awesome!!

Let me know about screenshots and videos, and I'll start work on the VW Scirocco tomorrow. Should have it finished in about an hour.

If you use GP2LAP, then screenshots are easy. Just press F12 to take one. It's taken in BMP format so you'll have to change it to JPG to post it on here. If you don't use GP2LAP, then download it cos it's a great bit of kit!

When I press F12 to take a screenshot, where does it go??

I know that F12 is taking a screenshot, because the screen pauses for a split-second, but then how do I change the image to a JPG. I can't find any of the images I've taken!!

F12 makes *.bmp screenshots, and they are placed directly in your (main) Gp2 folder.

Did you start the game with the GP2lap.exe or still with the GP2.exe?? You should use the first one. Otherwise there will be no screenshots.

To convert a bitmap into jpg, just open it with photoshop or a similar program and save it as *.jpg.

I have successfully created a full carset of 14 cars, and I will give you all some screenshots in the next couple of days.

Just to let you all know that I am now working on three new carsets:

British Touring Cars 1998 (seeing as it's my second favourite season, and good ol' Greyhead is making 1995 which is my favourite)

Swedish Touring Cars 1999 or 2000 can't remember which year it is but I will find out

and.....

NASCAR 1999, yes I did say NASCAR. This will take a while, but will definitely be worth it I think.
