An interesting challenge for GP2 editors.......

Since we've just had Christmas and New Year and all the kidz films have been on TV recently, I'm in a childish mood, and so I have a proposition to put to you all....

What if we had some really silly fun????

I wanna know if someone can make me a very special carshape/carset pack.

Low nose cone shape could be any GT sportscar you want, just the basic shape for FIA GT racing would do.

But for the High nose cone shape, I would like...

a 1963 VW Beetle 1300 Saloon.
I WANNA SEE HERBIE ON GP2. PLEASE HELP!!

Because I wanna see Herbie on GP2. Just because it's fun.

Who's up for it? And if nobody is, how would I go abaout making a VW Beetle carshape myself so I can mess around in my childish little fantasy world, where Herbie takes on Aston Martins and Ferraris and kicks their arse.

Your ever childish silly little man,

Jake

Will anyone take up the challenge......

Maybe we could do this for cars from other movies, you know like Days of thunder, Talladega Nights, Speed Racer, that sort of thing!

The Back To The Future DeLorean would be cool! Although it has been done before, you can download it for Grand Theft Auto III, and the Knight Rider Trans-Am.

I'm just interested in GP2 Add-ons really,

Especially a VW Beetle carshape so I can race Herbie on GP2.

If someone could make a Beetle carshape, (old not new) and a Herbie bitmap, I would be thrilled.

I won't do.

Maybe someone else help you. Good luck!

By myself, I would prefer new shapes for some of the loads of racing series missing in GP2.

Regards

This is what I came up with:

The shape I used is Dan's (greyhead) WTCC Seat Leon shape.
It could probably be better, but I think it's a good base.

It still needs a bitmap. :-$

DJS, you are amazing!!! It looks ace!!! If you could put it alongside a basic GT shape, could I use this? And can anyone make a bitmap of Herbie with an authentic front and rear end for a VW Beetle, OLD not new?

Is anybody making a bitmap of Herbie to go with DJS' carshape? I would do it myself but I don't know which program to use to make it look like a great WTCC or LMWS esque front and rear end like Dan and FK have.

To everybody that would like to have the shape, just send me a PM with your email or you can email me at dstunnenberg@hotmail.com
Please note that the 1st shape is the sedan WTCC as made by Dan "greyhead", the 2nd shape is "Herbie".

Fantastic!! I am going to try to make a Herbie bitmap to use with this shape, then we can pass it on to Andreas.

Does anybody have any advice as to how I can get an authentic looking front and rear end appearance to the VW Beetle? It's a bit nerdy but according to the offical Herbie fan page, it needs to be the 1963 Beetle 1300 Sedan.

Are there any programs available that can make it look really amazing?

That looks fairly promising. Not sure what to do next, but I'm going to give my Herbie bitmap a try. Will let you know what it looks like.

Any suggestions for programs so I can make him look as good as FK and Dan do?

It doesn't work well the car shape, which is pretty much perfect by the way.

Any one able to help, or do better than me???
