A helmet design...

Hello guys,

Must say I am VERY impressed with the forum and those who use it!

I was wondering and hoping that someone might be able to help me...

I am utterly useless at getting a good final appearance for my helmet cos I use mspaint.
Is there any chance someone could take my design and improve it and just make it look more realistic???
Many, many thanks,
Max

Welcome, Max. I just tried a more or less quick thing with your design... one thing I can personally recommend for GP2 helmets is making the design on a bigger graphics file and then resizing it. That way, even if you're actually using Paint, you can add some more detail and lines to it and then when you resize it, it looks a bit smoother. Well, that's how I do it, anyway. :)

That way, I've come up with this. Maybe you like it:

can you also explain a little more exactly what you mean by opening a bigger graphics file??? How do I do that?

He means that you start with a bitmap that has twice the size (148x30) of a normal helmet. Than, when you're finished with the 'large scale' bit map you downsize the thing to original size (with help of Adobe Photoshop or any other kind), which is 74x15. Than you will get the result of AD.

When you want the result of DJS, and (others) like me, you don't scale anything, you just use MSPaint, and use the original size of the texture (74x15).

it's ok V12-Power, I've managed to do it now.

It's a simple design but I think it's ok, glad you do too.
