I didn´t know about you plan to remake all the 1994 tracks. That would be amazing!
Of course it will take time but we can wait and looking at the quality of the final "product" it will be for sure worth the wait.

I was also thinking you could be the only one to have edited so many aspects of the game (not only tracks, but also carsets, carshapes, sounds, menu screens, fuel editor) and you have always excelled in all of the areas, very rare! =D> =D> =D>

yeah the vanilla montreal was really bad because the chicane was so fast on the back side. Probably the next worst track is Spa with the bus stop chicane being way to fast as well. We already have a good Monaco now.

Very nice 1994 mod. I really love it.

I do have one issue though: when using this mod, the numbers on the cars are not shown. Instead I see some kind of blurry square where the number should be.

Anybody else have this visual issue?

Are you sure you have the most "recent" version installed? Should be this one https://grandprix2.de/Util/gp2edit/gp2edit.html

Also make sure when you export the carset to tick all the Car Set Datas.

I hope it gets solved

so previously I only took a lap or so around the track, and today I started preparing for a full 100% length race at the 91-93 version of Michael's Montreal.

Although I "know the track" from original gp2- it only somewhat carries over to the new version. The realism and accuracy is so good, but it just points out to how many other things are inaccurate with the original gp2 tracks. It's funny how the original tracks needed a time-stretch feature to get the lap times realistic (time flows faster) and on Michael's tracks (at least I know for sure Montreal and Monaco) this really isn't mostly needed. My gp2 magic data for time is set to 16410 here which is very close to a 100% true time of 16384. I ask myself why? The other corners are realistic speeds. The first time I took the hairpin in Michael's version it was down around 35-40mph, where in vanilla gp2 the hairpin is around 50-55mph if I can remember correctly. When i watch the onboard footage in the 1994 eurosport TV coverage I see speeds much more like I get at Michael's version of the track.

Besides that I was able to use my vanilla Montreal setup and it seems to be somewhat close. After doing about 40 laps I got very quick and smooth, it just takes a while to adjust my braking points and find new ones.

The hardest place for me to get a good placemarker is going into the hairpin. I find I have to brake about half-way between the 50 and 100 markers.

One thing that I was very pleasantly surprised with is the CC line. The CC cars seem to be fast where I am, and slow where I am. At some tracks I always notice I am faster in some places and much slower in others.

Great job Michael - do you have plans to do the 1996 and newer version (with the casino straight?) This would be an easy one to do I would assume. What about the early 80s version with the pits near the hairpin?

Thank you very much man for your complete review! It gives me a very interesting feedback on the gameplay of this track and the realism is very important for me. There are lot of things possible to do in this way in gp2.
Yes I'd like to make the others versions of Montreal but currently I begin to remake the others original tracks... I made the track layout, altitude and cc line of Ti Aida (Okayama) and this two last week I was in Spa. These two vanilla tracks are really too wide... it seems to be any Tilkedromes. :D

:D =D> All new Michael's Montreal versions are so beautiful! Nice races, mainly on 1988-1990 and 1991-1993 versions. 1994-1995 chicane a little wider than I thought. All scenery perfect, I'm enjoying it at all!

 Haha
Ballestre was completly wrong. I had the same experience when I made the track. I noticed too that the car seems flying when it is in the escape area.. I didn't know how fix it. ](*,)
I just raced the 89 Suzuka for the first time (in my 1994 season). Fantastic work. I had a flying car when I missed the chicane too. I noticed in your Monaco that you can get a flying car if you cut through the chicane exiting the tunnel as well. When this happens I get this strange feeling in my stomach LOL. I had it really high once (I watched the replay it must have been 30ft in the air). The detail of your Suzuka is fantastic!

I have to write here all my compliments to Michael82 for his realistic GP2 tracks. And TdK too.

I'm travelling in Europe this two last weeks, and I had been in Imola (Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari) paying my personal tribute in front of my childhood hero statue at Tamburello corner. And being present on the place, I can realise how it really resembles the GP2 versions of Michael82 (1993 and 1994) and the 2021 TdK GP2 version. Perfect!

I was in Monaco last Sunday. A magnificent place! And the 1986 Michael82 GP2 version is so realistic! The Loewis (now Fairmont) Hairpin, the Tunnel, the Ste.Devote, the Casino-Mirabeau area. Fantastic! =D> =D>

Yesterday I was in Brands Hatch, UK. And walking beside all the GP track, I realise how it resembles so much the 1984 Michael82 GP2 version! Considering the slight track layout changes since then, the track is so realistic!

The three European racing venues I managed to visit on this travel, I was surprised how it seems the best GP2 versions.

For money reasons, I wasn't able to visit Spa-Francorchamps (F1 GP there last weekend, making everything expensive in eastern Belgium) and Nürburgring (few options and time to go). But in few years I expect to be back in Europe, and visit that tracks, alongside Monza and Le Mans.
