F1 season 2011

I was kind of dreading some crazy-rain-red-flagging today, but obviously no torrential downpours during the race.

What I found very interesting to see was the different kinds of drivers (and cars) getting to work with the tyres -- the times differed quite a bit there.

Nice to see the Renault drivers delivering the kind of start I was thinking about a bit before they went off on the formation lap. I was looking for someone to pull off improving some positions by going around the outside in Turn 1.

Vettel has done great work, so far, but it's a long season, and we all saw how tough and close things can get over time, anyway.

I feel that red bull is above all at the moment,but mclaren will take it back maybe at canada.

The Red Bull seems the best car at the moment. If you just take a look at qualifying times today, it seems as if the McLaren drivers were well into their car's potential with the 1:34s they did, in Q1 and Q2, Vettel just matched their times, however, when it was all about pole position in the last segment, he found that tool often referenced in a certain phrase and went about a second faster than he had been in the second segment.

I think, at least once they can work a bit on certain KERS issues, they won't have to worry too much for a little while...

I don't know why Ford made such a fuss about the Ferrari having the same name as its popular pick-up at the start of the season. They're completely different beasts: one's a hopeless V8-powered truck, and the other is made by Ford...
