Thank you for the info!

Upshift penalty is how much speed you loose when you shift up your gears.

I'll be able to test Vista myself today :)

That's a great value to edit to! Because cars nowadays can shift gears in 0,2 seconds. So this means lower loss of speed during shifting. :)

Good for older carsets too when semi-automatic paddle-shifts didn't exist!

Yeah! And for touringcar championships, they are slower shifters, and in the oldies you can make them shift very slow... 1 second? :? :D

The physical characteristics of gp2 are a real discovery :)
I have a problem with my settings. I find that I'm running in max of 1st gear around of 200kph and the relationship between the speeds are limited. I can not fix that with no demora gear or power factor. Do you think there is a solution for this or does it make use of unknown factors ...

Michael, explain it better....I don't understand.

Did you use max rmps under 11000?

Sorry Roberto. It's difficult describe more precisely...
I meant that there was something strange passing gears to 11500 rpm.
The reports (2nd to 6th gear) were too short even by changing demora_gear. But I managed to partially solve the problem by changing the value up down "sobe_depressa" and "demora_gear. But I think it is a matter of settings. I think it's more realistic now.
So, I think "Sobe depressa" is interesting value... What do you think?

I think you are right, it's related to the gearbox just like "demora_gear" but in a different way. Diferential settings in several games have more than 1 value, it may be it.

Sorry about those confusing names for the settings. I've given them names the would remind me about the effect of the factor. I've never wanted to release it with those names.

Hey guys, I have great news!!!

I've found another "physics area" in the exe. There are several factors which I didn't test and I don't know how they will be useful...but there is the correct "Braking Force" I've been looking for. I've once believed I had found it but it was a gearing related factor, now is the correct factor and it works perfectly for both player and ccs.

It means we have now all factors to make a decent basic physics editor. I hope to complete it soon. It means also that I can finally complete my 1978 physics and package!

After that I'll try to find what I call the "Belini Bhp", a factor Belini discovered in GP3 2000 which fix that problem of the player being too faster than the ccs at lower speeds when you use low bhp for the cars. I hope I can find it, it would be fantastic!

The Belini thing, or the breaking force thing? What does the "breaking force" do? Is that an aerodynamical resistance?

The Belini thing...

The braking force is how efficient your brakes are.

Ah, that's a good value to edit. They are much better now, and for touring cars editing it's great too! :D
