I've never tried FTM. I'll have a go.

yes, when you export many textures to the F1PCSVGA.bin.

When you try out all your new track maps, you will have this problem.
Make sure you have a copy of the fresh F1PCSVGA.bin
When your project is finished you should use a fresh F1PCSVGA.bin.

With the FTM you can defrag the F1PCSVGA.bin.
I did not test that
Edit:
Menu helmets are stored also in the F1PCSVGA.bin !!!!!!
When you often install carsets with menu helmets the background pictures get "broken" sometime.

You should have more GP2-installations.
Then you can look at all carsets without damaging your most important GP2 installation

Some batch files for GP2 menu pictures doesn't work under XP.
For example GETHIPIC (which is a batch file for GP2HIPIC V.0.9a)
Error message : "CHOISE" not found.

You can copy the file "Choise.com" from a win98 installation
( :\WINDOWS\COMMAND ) to your WinXP ( :\WINDOWS\system32)
and the problem is eliminated !!!!!!!!!!!

:D

Edit: Download "Choise.com":

Somehow that prog doesn`t work for me too, whenever I want to export the Trackmaps it says "wrong file format", this error message appears with every trackmap I try (also downloaded from grandprix2.de), strange. Maybe I should try Fragata Track Manager...

Anyways, here are the final 4 Trackmaps :D

When I have some time I`ll package them along with the smaller thumbs and send them, but I want to test this stuff first ;)

The stuff has been sent to Andreas now, if there would be a possibility to change the color of the ingame menü...than they would look much better

I just found a way to get real hot Trackmaps, but unfortunately I think they can`t be distributed because of using official F1 stuff, but I`ll tell you how I did it:

Open the official F1-site -> http://www.formula1.com/
Go to Services - Downloads in the Menu
Get all the Trackwallpapers

Google for the Trackmaps of all the 17 tracks (you can find them all in wikipedia)

Combine the Wallpaper and a trackmap for the bigger version
Use the downloaded Wallpaper for the framed track version

Done, now you have really awesome Trackmaps!

OMG, seems that I miss the German GP too much, gonna fix that in a while :D

It works great! I use the (altered) Hungary Wallpaper as starting screen and the others for track selection, just decrease the colors to 233 an all is fine (at least in Paintshop Pro)
