2020 BTCC mod

I don´t know how many of you like touring cars, in any case I´ve made a BTCC mod for Gp2 and wanted to share it.
There is not only a carset (based on last season, 2020) but I´ve changed all the performance values for each track with GP2STED and GP2 Track Handler, so you have the full game and you just need to copy the files in your folders and start the game.

Here the link:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/ry32t425 ... CC_mod.rar

There are all 9 tracks in the calendar for 2020 and seven more tracks so you can run a full championship in GP2 style with 16 tracks.
I wanted to put Anglesey and Mondello in the tracklist, but since the cc-line in both tracks is not good, I´ve decided to put instead two international venues I´m sure you will like. Both were rumoured to become part of the calendar in the past, although it has never happened.
Lap times are real for the 9 real-life venues, while they are a guess for the other seven.

Three of the real venues (Silverstone National, Knockhill and Thruxton) don´t have a perfect cc-line, but I´ve read someone is working on some of them, so maybe we will have an update in the near future.
In the same folder of the game there is the carset for the 2020 Season of the BTCC in case you want to make changes, the excel program to calculate customised grid to help you reproduce a real season of BTCC and all the values of each track for the Slot & Tire Editor, so you can load them if you want to change the order of the tracks.

As always all cars have been based on Greyhead´s previous works. I needed to change the cockpit in order to have mirrors inside the car. The original was made by Greyhead.
For the physics and the behaviour of the car, I used an old setting made by rremedio some time ago.
The sounds were made by Fat_Rat.

To improve racing I´ve made the human car go a little slower on the straights, so it will be more difficult for you to overtake and if a cc-car follows you it becomes more aggressive, like in touring cars. So you need to watch in the mirror when you turn and check your blind spot! :D
You can obviously change the in-game setting to be quicker on the straights, but don´t change too much or you will have unfair advantages :P

In BTCC there is only one qualifying session. Since it´s not possible to delete one of the two sessions in GP2, I changed the number of laps permitted in the first qualifying session so that no one will come out of the pits.
You can easily accelerate the session (it only takes a couple of seconds with my computer) and then go to the second qualifying session where everything will work normally.

Let me know if you like it and if everything works since I´ve changed many things with different editors and I don´t know if everything gets copied.

I hope you enjoy and...elbows out!

Nice! Thank you for making this!

I really love the BTCC. I never used the previous sets too much in GP2 (mostly because GP2 doesn't really simulate touring cars very well) but I usually do a few races when a new carset arrives and I'm surely going to give this one a try.

Wow, looks very interesting, I definitaly want to try this.

Can you provide a single zip for download, please? I can only download it file by file, that`s pretty tedious :D

Oh you are right...I didn´t notice you had to be premium to download the full folder. ](*,)
I´ve uploaded the mod as a rar file (link correct above). Hope it works...thanks MaxX for the message!

About the playability, I´ve improved some parts, more importantly the start. You still have a small advantage sometimes but it´s not huge.
You also need some time to adjust to the different style of driving. Compared to normal GP2 you need to turn earlier...and chicanes can be difficult for the first time, but it will improve with time.

I like to do touring car races with GP2 because they are short and sometimes it´s difficult to find time and patience to do a full F1 race :D

Well, I like it, quite a lot. :D

But, and that's a quite big but :P why I can not set the car to brake automatically?

What do you mean exactly? The F1 button doesn´t work or the car doesn´t slow down when you activate it?

Probably blocked from the available aids. You can change that in GP2Edit -> Game Settings. Just import, change it and export again. If that's not the case, make sure you are on a difficulty level that allows the use of F1.

There is one small thing I forgot to mention regarding qualifying.

Done, thank you anyways :D
