Nice to read it! I hope you will enjoy it!
But there is one thing in my 50s carsets - be aware of runing off into gravels and stop there. Because of the low (realistic) BHP values you will stuck there with no chance to recover
The same problem sometimes happens also to other smaller teams, but Alfettas and Ferraris are strong enought to recover.
But if you change the value, everything should be OK!
No problem with the traps...I guess the majority of my track list doesn't have gravel traps. The only problem I see is the fact that I love small tracks, and isn't uncommon to find backmarkers in lap 3 or 4. But it's alright, it adds more challenge to the races.

Yeah, you must be really careful with laping backmarkers. Some of them are really slow and are making unexpected moves to the right or to the left trying to let you pass them in a stupid manner.
I have seen lots of accidents in my 1950 season with backmarkers and leaders involved. For example - Manzon with his Simca produced some 2 or 3 crashes in Monaco tunnel, and allways came away undamaged
Fangio got caught by backmarkers several times during the season. And me too.
