I have a problem: I just downloaded CamStudio 2.0 (which AAS recommended in this thread) and before that I used Hypercam. Both programs record the normal screen, but when I start GP2 they only record a black background. I use Windows XP. Has anyone a idea what I have to do to make a video of the GP2-game? Thanks!

You start GP2 with VDMSound under xp?

I think it's not possibly to make a GP2 video in this way.
For the capture program (CamStudio 2.0) your game is still a dos game.
I think there is no capture programm for dos games. -> they only record a black background.

I start GP2 in a Virtual PC (Microsoft Virtual PC 2007)
Within this Virtual PC I can play GP2 under a virtual win98 or a virtual winxp PC.

Now I go back to my Vista System!
I can see the Virtual win98 PC (GP2 running) on my Vista Desktop.

Now I can capture this Window with CamStudio 2.0.
Now for CamStudio 2.0, the captured GP2 Game is not longer a Dos Game.

AAS pointed the problem! Youz need to run GP2 in a window to recorde a video.

Okay friends, thank you very much for your fast replies! Maybe I'll try to install that virtual PC someday, but right now it has no priority.

If VDM Sound doesn't succeed in getting sound on the GP2 game, is there any other alternatives? Or am I stuck?

Would downloading DOSBOX be any good to me???

I think it could be a solution, although I never got it running... but on my laptop VDMsound fortunately works.
