Problem with GP2NOCD

Post by Nascar »

I run GP2NOCD on my GP2 Directory, and I receive:
________
***** GP2NOCD V1.0 *****

GP2.EXE : Versione Italiana 1.0b

NOCD Patch has been Applied Successfully!

You must now copy the CIRCUITS directory from your GP2 CDROM into the GP2
directory on your HD. Include all the track files (F1CTxx.DAT), but not
TRACKDAT.BIN.
________

I copied all F1CTxx.DAT in C:\GPD\CIRCUITS.

But if I Remove my CD, GP2 don't start and ask the CD Rom.

I don't know why don't works?

Did you use the "complete Installation" Option, when you installed the game?

And else you maybe need to replace your f1system.dat file by this one (available on AAS his site):
GP2 might give you an error about not being able to access your cd-rom drive when you start it. Unzip "f1system.dat" from this zip to your GP2 folder overwriting the one you originally have there: http://www.grandprix2.de/wissen/gp2_xp/f1system_dat.zip.

Sorry .. the F1system_dat.zip already exist
Ciao

Notes:
Some notes about running GP2 on Windows NT/2000/XP:
GP2 is not made to run on Windows NT/2000/XP so it might behave strangely at times or even crash.
It could be the GP2 install program doesn't work properly from within Windows NT/2000/XP. You might have to make a DOS bootdisk with cdrom drivers and install it from DOS.
GP2 might give you an error about not being able to access your cd-rom drive when you start it. Unzip "f1system.dat" from this zip to your GP2 folder overwriting the one you originally have there: f1system_dat.zip (1kb).
