How to handle statistics?

Post by Gabriele »

Hi everyone.
Someone knows if there is a program which "reads" directly the txt files that you get at the end of qual session, race and fastest lap, and let you organize a sort of database with all the stats?
For Gp3 and newer software there were some program (like Scandura's "Gp3 Master Career"), but you know how to handle it in Gp2?
And, if not: did someone manage to "treat" those .txt files to convert them to, say, Excel sheets (without re-typing everything, obviously)?

There was a program called "Paddock Champ" which took all those text files from qualifying and the race and formed them into a season and then a career, I haven't seen anything of it on Andreas' site though. I think it had its own dedicated site but that probably went the same way as grandprix2.com.

I meant exactly THAT program. I thought it was for Gp3, but this page http://old.grandprixgames.org/?page=dow ... =8&pt_id=4 tells that it is compatible also with Gp2.
Unfortunately the link is broken... at least, I get a 404 and 403 error.
Oh, Paddock Champ, where art thou?

I'll test it and see how it works.

I used to use it for GP2, it worked fine, it doesn't actually do anything involving the game, just the text files generated at the end of it so there should be no compatibility problems.
