graphics backwards on the rear wings of cars

I'm sure you guys have all seen this.

When you are following a car, sometimes the graphics appear backwards on the rear wing at certain viewing positions. Mostly as the car moves from your left or right, it appears correct, and then backwards depending on viewing angle.

Has anyone found a fix for this? It seems once the cars get close enough it goes into a more detailed view and then things generally look better.

2 years later - still hoping for an answer...

I think this has to do with the car graphics going from 2d to 3d... if we could make this process start earlier (while the car is still at a greater distance from you) maybe that might work?

guys - is this what the "rcr draw distances" are for?

I figured this out- increasing the RCR distance in the gp2lap config fixes it. I tried 20000 for the rear-incar SVGA setting and it was enough. I will try lowering it a little at a time until I see if the problem comes back.

Hopes this helps someone in the future
