I haven't noticed it before. But I do have the same problem.eky78 wrote: ↑01.12.2024, 22:15Am I the only one to have problem with DOSBOX Staging?

This is how I see the game even before applying LLS. If I take a screenshot with F12 it looks ok, so I had to use the print key to record it. But I can tell you the game it´s almost impossible to play.
I´ve used Michael´s setup for DosBox. Do you know if there is something I can change in the setting to improve it or is the computer possibly too old?
GP2 in 51fps!

Re: GP2 in 51fps!
Yes I have the same problem too. There are some tearing frames and I don't know why. If the dos_rate option is set between 30 and 60 it is quite ok but I have a lot of lag. The value 25.6 is the only one which works smoothly with LLS.. ](./images/smilies/eusa_wall.gif)
What do mean when you said it´s almost impossible to play? Tearing or lag?

Re: GP2 in 51fps!
Hi Guys,
I mucked around with normal dosbox and Lossless scaling and it was good but had issues regarding tearing and stuff.
I tried Ted's guide, but now i have massive frame rate issues. Its soooo slow (around 40 sec for lights to go to green) with PO sitting on the 260s in car and around 400 external.
This is when i do it with lossless loaded and through the normal dosbox stagging exe.
Am i missing something
Thanks Heaps guys, loving your work

Re: GP2 in 51fps!
I had similar problems when using dosbox staging for the first time. I had to fiddle with the cpu configurations in the cfg file for it to run at a decent speed. I don't remember which one did the trick tho.torana_05 wrote: ↑16.12.2024, 12:42Hi Guys,

Re: GP2 in 51fps!
Did a post dissapear from this thread? I could have sworn I saw a post from Michael talking about good results....
Re: GP2 in 51fps!
Sorry man, I removed the post because the results were finally not as good as I thought. The best results is always when you write 25.6 in dos rate even if some tearing frames. You can have quite good results too with value 75, 76 or 77 and presentation mode "vfr" or "auto" but the game lag sometimes. For this solution you have to use a frame limiter fixed at the same value write at the dos rate line. I don't know why LS doesn't work without this limit. (I mean when the screen show for example 230 fps the game seem work with original framerate)

Oh I thought maybe something went wrong on the site and some data was lost. I'm sorry it didn't work out.Michael82 wrote: ↑30.12.2024, 09:41Sorry man, I removed the post because the results were finally not as good as I thought. Re: GP2 in 51fps!
By now it works perfectly with the fantastic work of Hatcher and the last update of Lossless scaling (with the Frame generation LSFG 3.0). There aren't artefacts and others things anymore. However it doesn't work so good with my steering wheel T300rs when I wrote the value 26 fps in the cfg file of x86GP2 (with value 52 it seems ok currently)
