Re: Can't get the FW14 cockpit working
You need to use LCDTool to appropriately set all leds:

Step 1 : use the LCD tool to load "fw14bytes.txt", then save as
"LCD.txt", exit and choose option 3 to export the new
LCD .
Step 2 : use Gp2edit to export the cockpit fw14b.pcx. Go to the
game settings and make all driving aids available in all
levels. If you don't do this there will be graphical
problems in the game.

OK that's great buddy thanks for all those points....
How the hell do I load the LCDTool up though? lol Have tried and tired....

Re: Can't get the FW14 cockpit working
Curiously I was able to install it just a couple of days ago
Unfortunately the program was made at the end of the previous century so it works only on Windows98...unless there is another way to copy the datas present in the txt files which I don´t know.
Would love to share the cockpit with the correct lcd datas but I don´t know if uploading the F1PCSVGA.bin would do enough?

Re: Can't get the FW14 cockpit working
LCDTool works. But you need to run it through the command prompt.
Anyway, I only have version 1.05 and this cockpit seems to use 1.04 format which is probably different and makes the fw14bytes useless for me (if I patch it, it breaks the game, but if I patch a file generated by 1.05, it doesn't break).

Re: Can't get the FW14 cockpit working
Thanks man but I need directions on how to do it using DosBox i reckon as isnt that how others have done it?
Re: Can't get the FW14 cockpit working
No, use the command prompt from windows.
I got version 1.04 from the cockpit download page and got it working. Unfortunately, importing to GP2Edit won't be useful because lcdtool patches some data that GP2Edit ignores. But I could share a patched gp2.exe if you can't get lcdtool to work.
BTW, it is a very nice cockpit.
Re: Can't get the FW14 cockpit working
I've made a small video. Put the files from lcdtool 1.04 and fw14bytes.txt on your gp2 folder (mine is F:/GP2)
Re: Can't get the FW14 cockpit working
tried it but I get this come up....
Re: Can't get the FW14 cockpit working
Like I said, don't use dosbox to run it. Use the Windows command prompt (right-click the Start menu button, then click Command Prompt).
Re: Can't get the FW14 cockpit working
Any idea how to get the command prompt to come up without this????.....
Re: Can't get the FW14 cockpit working
You mean the Users\Max path? Type cd \ and push Enter
Re: Can't get the FW14 cockpit working

So if If my GP2 is located here (see pic) what do I need to type?...

Re: Can't get the FW14 cockpit working
cd games/gp2
or
cd games
cd gp2
Then you can execute lcdtool by typing:
lcdtool -p fw14bytes.txt
Re: Can't get the FW14 cockpit working
