Re: teach me about packers

Hello, I don't have an answer. I'm replying because I'm also passionate about the set-up, especially for races (50% Race Distance) and eventually I'll get to packers too. When I played as a teenager I did not explore correctly all the potential of the Advanced Setup, especially dampers, anti-roll ba...

Re: Suzuka overtaking: GP2 and reality

Now it's Charles Leclerc proving that overtaking in Rascasse, which is doable in GP2, is also possible in reality.
Although it depends on the line chosen by the CC-car ahead of you...

Re: A new track ?

I'm building a folder in my computer with these tracks... no problem that the site isn't refreshed. 2010 layout left me quite interested to see! Although I don't think the 2003 track by John Edwards and AAS was a fantasy track - it was a premonition one, they had a vision of the future or something....

Re: GP2 link and videos

Pôxa, that's terrible reliability. I wonder if Thierry Boutsen should sign with McLaren for 1990, in the place of Prost.

Re: I want to put more cars on the track during practice

Not wanting to look like a troll (internet is quite depressing these days), but couldn't you just practice in traffic by starting a non-championship race from 26th, without qualifying? How do you think it's different from a practice session crowded? I like to adjust the car setup frequently, can't ...

Re: Magic Data Editor

When will it be possible in Grand Prix 2 to step out of the car and push, like Mansell and Prost? #joke

Amazing! Thank you very much!
For obvious reasons, after developing a fake Formula 4 carset, I'll be among the most interested users of this.

Re: GP2 link and videos

The final result looks like the Portuguese Grand Prix of 1989. It just went a little further. Grand Prix 2 realistic as always.
Is this the fourth consecutive mechanical failure for you??

Re: "snap oversteer" on corners that have height transitions

It's a kind of a challenge, yes. I once won a race in Imola (Ace, 100% RD, F2 and F7 on) but I got the help of a huge crash on the first going through Tosa; my fastest lap was 1m24.77, 0,87 slower than the fastest lap. I'm working on the setup and if get better than that, I'll let you know. (Anyway,...

Re: A new track ?

Amazing work! By the way, if you're looking for cc-lines to fix, you could check Estoril 1984-1993, estoril84-93v11_rp. The Tanque corner (the one that existed prior to 1994, and was replaced by the unfortunate chicane) has a cc-line that seems a little detached. (Although I wonder if Estoril84 by P...

Re: "snap oversteer" on corners that have height transitions

Interesting question. Yes, I acknowledge that at that point there is usually more oversteer than understeer. I usually attribute it to set-up itself; I historically had difficulty in Imola because of the chicanes - the mid-corner transition was never a good point of my set-ups, and only recently cou...

Re: GP2 link and videos

I thought mechanical issues in Grand Prix 2 only appeared when the dashboard showed them (the message "loose wheel" and the yellow-coloured indication). But I think your wheel was already loose before, and that caused the spins. (Too many mechanical failures... but of course, this is 1989, it's right)
