The F1 2022 season

Soon the new chapter of F1 will start, what are your thoughts and expectations? Personally I really like the new look and some liveries and cars look really great. I even like the pink BWT components on the Alpine, the mix with main blue is really well done. I have never been into the all pink liver...

Re: GP2Edit - Windows 11

To be honest, D-Fend Reloaded works fine on Windows 11, so I've already managed to complete 13 races - 3 more and it's on to 1995! I'll be taking some time this week to browse the forum and see what helpful guides to install tracks (I had a quick try this weekend but unfortunately only get the circ...

Re: Is it possible to create paintings for GP2 on Android?

With a fitting grafixc editor you coukd create the paintings (you would still need to take care with the palette). GP2Edit for patching would mose likely not work, you could use Dosbox and the old-school programm line editors we had at the time to switch graphics. Hm, it would definitialy require mu...

Re: GP2Edit - Windows 11

Hm, prior my switch to a vmware workstation windows xp I used the "XP Mode" in Windows, which let you run Windows XP in a virtual machine in the background. MS calles that MS VirtualPC. I don`t know if Windows 11 supports that, a first search with search-tool only shows me that two things for Window...

Yes, I have used GP2Lap-Addon.

But after I started this topic, I have bought new computer and it's quite powerful. So I finally can run full graphics on GP2 as well on GP3 ja GP4 :)
Great to read that, happy racing :D

Re: Any tricks to power up dosbox/GP2?

In Svga mode, I have disabled sky and all mirror related graphics and put framerate to 21. I have also installed cockpit with smaller mirrors. With these settings PO% stays under 100% most of the time in cockpit (except Monaco). In "TV view mode" PO% climbs easily over 100 % with every track. I am ...

Re: JAM error in TrackEditor

Hm, with fiddling around it should be possible, but it is indeed tedious. :-k

I only made small adaptions to the tracks so far and that was sufficient, Hopefully one of our trackmaking-experts has better ideas to help you out

Re: GP2 install in DosBox (Win10)

I recommend to you use the D-Fend reloaded Frontend. I use it in virtual WinXP and native Win10 and Win11 and it works well.

For GP2 I use the no cd patch and have to mount two drives as shown here:

Thanks for your suggestion ! It was a really difficult part of the track and I don't know how make it perfect. When you are in the first part of the hairpin you don't see (Some objects disapear...) the rest. Maybe with 0xc5.
Yes, that`s true. This section pushes GP2 to its limits it seems :-k

Thanks, too bad we don`t have the fitting tracks. But luckily there are enough "smaller" tracks, where the lower BHP don`t hurt that much :D
If only I knew how to use Track Editor...
Yap, it is very powerful, but I also struggle with it. I can make small adaptions, but that`s it :D

Re: New tracks : Michael82

May I raise another suggestion? If you adapt the zoom-rate of camera 6, the loews section would be even more as seen on TV. In the Example I used factor 500 instead of 2324: 2022-01-12 18_31_40-DOSBox 0.74, Cpu speed_ max 100% cycles, Frameskip 0, Program_ GP2.png 2022-01-12 18_32_35-DOSBox 0.74, Cp...
