Re: 2018 Carset with reverse grids!
It would be a good idea, but I wonder how our designers are coping with halo. One thing is certain. If someone decides to design cockpits with halo (covering the sky), the game would run very smoothly! Only a fraction of the screen would be occupied, right? Anyway, drivers say they don't see it, apa...

Road Atlanta
Just came across this and noticed that we have Road Atlanta in our tracklist.

Re: Playability and realism of GP2 compared with today's games
This is not Grand Prix 2, but regardless of that, whoever thought of putting Nigel Mansell playing this had a good idea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCiWf7WEViM&t=340s What puzzled me was this comment, replying to someone saying the game Mansell was playing was too arcade: "ah yes. A good old si...

Re: Playability and realism of GP2 compared with today's games
That's quite interesting. I've never played those titles, but once, around 2000, someone got me a "oldie" game for the time: the Indianapolis 500 (1989). In fact, that game was the most realist of the time, apart from Crammond's work. It appears it came also from the Papyrus Design Group, according ...

Re: 2018 Carset with reverse grids!
Happy New Year, all! In attachment there's my fictional 2018 carset. Please mind the fictional plot: In late 2015, FIA "nationalized" F1 back from CVC, FOCA and all Bernie Ecclestone's stuff. FIA runs F1 like FIFA runs football. Costs were slashed, the aero problem that comes from the mid nineties w...

Re: 2018 Carset with reverse grids!
These are very nice and even include some helmets that I find quite useful! I'll soon share a fictional 2018 carset for my own personal career game, so it may be a part of this tally.

Re: GP2 link and videos
Thank you. This is great and I'll seriously - as well as new Zandvoort, yes... - consider this track to my personal career game. I've tried the other version once but I dropped it as I spotted that bug in the very final kink before the finish line... and I never thought of trying another, just becau...

Oh, yes, people will be around. I'll consider new Zandvoort track to my personal career game, which is so realistic that I've been doing almost 1 season per year, so short is my spare time for it...

Brilliant!! Too bad that engine failure so close to the end... which slot were you using? (By the way, could you share the GP2Edit file?)

Re: Playability and realism of GP2 compared with today's games
I didn't watch it full, but payed attention. My thoughts: - He's not a "dedicated" racing gamer (he might try other racing games but he has videos of many other kind of games), so it's alright he's racing only in amateur level... he was third in an Amateur level championship. - Just like in this oth...

Brazilian GP 2017: the Bottas GP2 approach
Valtteri Bottas said this about the start of the Brazilian Grand Prix, when he lost the lead to Sebastian Vettel, who dived into the inside to the Senna S: "I was trying to cover the inside but honestly looking at the mirror I could only see Kimi (Raikkonen) behind. So, didn't see Seb anywhere. I wa...
