Is it still possible that somebody shares the GP3-2000 installation?
I do have the original GP3 game.

The problem might be that you changed the amount of fuel for practice and qualifying in gpedit. I had some kind of the same problem.

yes, I found it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I did change the fuel to 4 laps, just to make it easier during qualifying.
Didn't expect this would affect the number of cars on track during qualifying.

I have approximately the same problem. When I install a new carset, there is only a max of 2 AI cars on the track simultaneously during qualifying. There is a parameter in the Slot and Tyre Editor 4 which will change the limit for the number of ccs at once in qualifying (not sure if it affects free practice, it has been a long time).
