Well, what about trying to overtake a car with an almost similar rhythm at Spoon? Even at GP2 it's not all that simple. But no one can say that it is irrealistic.

Re: Suzuka overtaking: GP2 and reality
Time goes fast - we're returning to Suzuka again. Although actually, I'd like to take a little jump to last years' event. I think the Hairpin is one of the places where one can easily overtake in Suzuka in GP2. Even in Ace mode, etc., the player is usually able to brake really later than the CC cars...

Re: Suzuka overtaking: GP2 and reality
We acknowledge that slipstream in Grand Prix 2 is exaggerated.
But by seeing the way Hamilton was "sucked" by Bottas at the start of today's Russian GP, one wouldn't say...

Re: Playability and realism of GP2 compared with today's games
Hi GP2tifoso28, honestly I think the frame rate (at the Graphic Details Level, yes) setting ends up being the key. I tried several combinations of graphics and I ended up with a mix and I didn't move from there; the last thing I was moving was just the frame rate. It's not perfect on graphics, but g...

Re: Suzuka overtaking: GP2 and reality
The great Belini tracks, indeed! Here and there we see reality catching up to GP2. This is the latest: http://www.grandprix.com/news/f1-should-reduce-calendar-to-16-races-says-wolff.html «"Toto Wolff says F1 should consider slashing the number of races on the annual calendar. Recently, FIA president...

Slipstream in GP2
In 1993, according to Minardi driver Christian Fittipaldi, "the speed differential was 289km/h [Martini] against 314km/h [Fittipaldi]. You can't take it all in the slipstream, because you gain no more than three or five km/h." https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/f1-retro-fittipaldis-monza-backflip-wa...

Re: Suzuka overtaking: GP2 and reality
I've made once a 50% RD race in Tsarskoye Selo, the excellent Russian fictional circuit developed by Andreas Schulz, and I insisted in taking a rear-wing 1 setup to the race. All was going well, and I was doing it turns 1 and 2 flat out, until a few laps before the pit stop I spun in turn 1, crashed...

Re: Carset completing cars for 2018er carset
One year ago, there were rumours that we could have a China F1 Team for 2019. I think things never got further than that. http://autoweek.com/article/formula-one/fia-boss-jean-todt-says-f1-could-have-two-new-teams-2019 Don't know which drivers would have, but probably Ma Qing Hua would be one of the...

Re: Sharing complete MODs
Your work with realigning tracks seems very interesting. Could you send me 1991? Or at least tell me how did you insert the tracks, because, as far as I remember, Phoenix should be at slot 4 rather than 1; Mexico is not recommened for slot 6, and so on. The same way, what kind of extra tracks did yo...

Re: Carset completing cars for 2018er carset
I suggest, as I did elsewhere, the Lastname Brothers, to remember the bug that happened in the Australian GP. Maybe in the lower team of all (a Pacific one).

I hope you find a way of including, among the 8 "spare" active drivers apart from the 20 real ones, the Lastname Brothers that appeared in Australia (check attachment).
