Very nice 1994 mod. I really love it.
I do have one issue though: when using this mod, the numbers on the cars are not shown. Instead I see some kind of blurry square where the number should be.
Anybody else have this visual issue?

Re: GP2 & suspension set up
I think the softer rear suspension allows you for taking the turn before the long straight without lifting. I always take it without lifting. I also want stiffer suspension in the front to be able to lower the car more. The 1500 in the front works good for me. Regarding wings, I do the same. front w...

Re: GP2 & suspension set up
I'm driving Australia now.
My suspension set up is 1500 lb/in at the front and 1100 lb/in at the back.
This seems to work although I think it is a rather stiff suspension.
I would think it needs to be softer as there are a lot of slow left right corners at the beginning of the track.

Re: Grip: two issues
Again very interesting insights!
@TdK:
I was also curious if the random grip worked both ways. (positive and negative)
How did you come to this conclusion?
I'm definitely interested in some carsets with updated performance data.

GP2 & suspension set up
Anybody tips on which circuits benefit from stiff suspension and which benefit from soft suspension?
I just don't know when to set up a hard or soft suspension.

Re: Grip: two issues
@RRemedio,
Can you also elaborate on this multiplier for bhp?
What does it do?

Re: Grip: two issues
Thanks @RRemedio for the insight. One thing I still don't understand is the problem of calculating grip. What does it have to do with bhp? As I set grip, I use the value 16384 for the best driver and work my way down for the next best driver and so on. The BHP of the cars, I try to set them as they ...

Re: Grip: two issues
Very interesting thread.
I'm still in interested in how to accurately set up grip range in GP2edit.
I know TdK wrote in his old thread it is a secret, but if anybody else has good tips about the grip range, let me know. .
grtz

Re: TdK Gp2 Stuff (WIP and bits)
For driver performance, I give the best driver of that season the max grip, 16384. Next I try to work my way down and try to put the driver performance in the same sequence as how the corresponding championship ended. For grip range, I just follow my intuition and put in some random numbers. fe: I ...

Re: TdK Gp2 Stuff (WIP and bits)
I'm a big fan of the carsets modified by TdK. I think they are very realistic regarding engine BHP and driver performance. I try to do the same. I look up the cars BHP on wikipedia to put them in gpedit. Next, for the season I'm working on, I check how many mechanical failures each team had on all t...

Re: GP2 edit driver grip range
On the other hand, IMO, the "ultimate challenge" with the Original GP2 carset would be: - insert Senna in the car number 2, with the same 16384 grip (deemed as the maximum, although I know we can go all the way to 17000 but the legend goes that you can't go quicker than 16384) AND with a grip range...

@ samsepi0l,
yes, that is the next step.
I think it will make the races even more intense than they are now.

I think it will also make the driving of the CC a bit more consistent.
