Re: GP2 Mods

Dasilva thank you so much for this info and your input. It really is interesting and very valuable.

I now feel more confident and comfortable with adding some extra years to my standard default GP2 install.

Re: GP2 Mods

Thank you Roland for the info. Much appreciated πŸ‘
I can see a link (Google search) on the tyre slot programme.

I remember reading on a faq about been careful of what track goes into what slot and that you can upset those track slots, if you put in the wrong slot.

Cheers again 😁

GP2 Mods

Hi all. I'm thinking of adding some other F1 years to my GP2 install on dosbox. Could someone give me a quick synopsis on how to do it. My immediate understanding is first to copy my present Gp2 folder and rename it to whatever year I intend to have. So something like Gp295. Then make sure my Dosbox...

Re: GP32K Player Name Issue

Hi Roland. I have this install of both Gp3 & GP32k running on my old windows xp desktop. In the past I tried to run them on my windows 7 laptop and windows 10. But no joy as the graphics where slow motion. I heard a lot of people who are struggling too, to run these two games. Not sure if dxwind is ...

GP32K Player Name Issue

So I've installed GP32k recently and I have an issue with making a new player name, when replacing another driver. After Installing I picked a team (Sauber) and put a fictitious name in the driver 2 slot for that team. I then saved the new name set 'mydnames' and then went to practice and quick race...

Re: Grand Prix 4

Just an idea. Did you try to patch the game.

Sometimes the box comes with the patch disc.

If not look here: https://www.grandprixgames.org/list.php?28

Hope this helps

Re: Experience with thrustmaster ts pc racer or certain fanatec wheel/paddle combinations?

I would like to input this thread, and give you all my experience, with setting up my wheel, on the Gp series of games. I've recently installed Gp2, Gp3 (&2000 mod) and will be installing GP4 very soon. I installed Gp2 on Dosbox Reloaded. I'm really looking at possibly looking at the other Dosbox ve...

Re: Gravel traps and grass

Thanks for the info πŸ‘

I suppose the fun is getting out of the gravel. Lol πŸ˜‚

I will try your tips out if I'm ever there again. Which will probably be the case πŸ€πŸ˜‚

Re: Car dependancy

Hi rremedio Thanks for your reply and your info. I watched a good video on YouTube on GP4 and it confirmed things: https://youtu.be/HKxijsigQQ0 So I've patched Gp3, Gp3 2k with GPXpatch and will do the same for GP4, when installed. So all in all I have ticked the car dependance option Thank you once...

Thanks rremedio. So glad you liked it πŸ‘

My idea is still a work in progress, but it's a case of trialing it and see how it goes.

Thanks once more πŸ˜πŸ‘ 🏁

Re: Gravel traps and grass

Thanks rremedio for your reply πŸ˜πŸ‘ Not to worry about the settings and figures you have for the hex editor. I've used hex editors before, but they can be tricky and end up more hassle than they are worth. I just thought there may have been a simple config alter in GP2 and using something like notepad...

Re: GP2 Edit

Thanks rremedio for your help in this thread. To let you know and feedback, the GPedit link you supplied as worked and I am now running it on my GP2 game. Gravel traps and grass

When I come off track into gravel traps or in the grassy weeds, my car is really difficult to get out. I'm know its realistic and part of the game, but when I throttle up to get out, my car turns away from the direction I want to go and is really uncontrollable. Is there a way to reduce this resista...

Car dependancy

Does anybody know if Gp3 and Gp3 2k are non car dependant, in standard game, like GP2 is?

If so is there anyway of changing it, like GP2 edit, and change to realistic car dependance?

Thanks all.
