Re: gp2lap ipxlink?
I've personally never been able to get it to work, but I did manage to successfully use the Link-Up option in GP2 to connect two simultaneous running DOSBox sessions to emulate two players on two separate computers playing against each other. Gameplay was a bit slow but I think this may because I wa...

Car Painting, Jams, and Transparency
I've recently noticed that some of the sportscar car shapes by FK have transparent textures on the front end that can be viewed in the Car Shape Editor but I'm not sure what function it serves. I understand that some parts of the car shape such as the textures on the bottom of the car can be viewed ...

Re: Sportscar World Championship 1960's carset WIP
Looking pretty good so far, the shading looks good at the rear end, great stuff! Thanks for the compliment. I couldn't have gotten this far without your help. I can't quite get the Porsche to a more acceptable look with the current carshape, so I decided to modify it a bit to use as the carshape fo...

Re: Sportscar World Championship 1960's carset WIP
Hopefully this represents a bit of progress in the right direction. Here we have a gaggle of Porsche 910 sportscars racing along the famous (or infamous if you like) Nurburgring Nordschleife course. http://i.imgur.com/o2S3em4l.jpg http://i.imgur.com/1SQlrByl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/7keMPW9l.jpg http:...

Re: Only tyres Pit stop and change time of pit stop for GP2
Thanks again for making this info available. It's just what I need for more realistic pitstops when using WSC carsets. I've also found out that the pitstops can be set to last much longer than one minute. Just change the values for 0xA25FB in conjunction with 0xA25FC. Right now I'm using 1F 01 for 1...

I'm also curious as to the details of how you solved the problem.

Re: Greyhead's thread
I am simply awestruck at your GP2 car editing skills. The guys over at the Indycar Racing 2 (icr2) forums are having a go at it as well, but you are way ahead of what they've accomplished so far. I'm thinking it's somewhat easier to modify carshapes in GP2 in comparison to ICR2. However, I've seen s...

What's ASAP? As Soon As Possible... Wow, I guess people really don't use that expression much in these modern times. And I didn't even notice there was already a link to the download. I feel so old now... Thanks for the info. I'll play around with it and let ya' know if I find anything new.

Re: Only tyres Pit stop for GP2
Thanks for making this patch available. I'd like to try it out ASAP. Is the maximum time for pitstops 15 seconds or can this value be hex edited for longer pit stops?

Re: Sportscar World Championship 1960's carset WIP
As a newcomer to GP2 modding, making a workable 1960's SWC style carshape has proven to be quite challenging for me. Thanks in no small part to Greyhead sharing some of his invaluable GP2 modding experience I eventually found the previous carshape to be almost impossible to fit bitmaps over without ...

Re: New Classic Carsets
That's really great news, especially since I'm trying to put together a 60's sportscar carshape that is based in no small part on carshapes from some unknown GP2 modders from f1mania.net from quite a few years ago. Studying those carshapes helped me out a lot. I'd love to see some pre-war as well as...

Re: Hi All - New to the forum
Welcome to the forum! As Roland mentioned, DOSBox is definitely the way to go. I also suggest that you use a utility called GP2Lap. It introduces some enhancements that weren't available with the original release of GP2. If you have any problems getting GP2 to run in DOSBox, I can modify my DOSBox c...

Pescara Track Request
Does anyone have the Pescara track? There's a link for it in the old GP2 section of f1mania but the pescara.zip file there actually contains the jam files and .dat file for Bathurst. I'm looking for an Italian track that has the look of Targa Florio (siracusa.zip) but with the length and numerous sm...
