Re: New tracks & carsets - Michael82
Michael - what tracks do you have cooking up next? I would love to see a more accurate Montreal or Spa if you ever were looking for suggestions! Keep up the good work! I am helping a friend complete the Downtown Detroit CART track for ICR2 lately (I am working on the AI for it) Take a look: https://...

Re: Auto brake on Ace mode
When I was a kid I used to hate using my analog joystick or pedals for braking in gp2 because I simply didn't understand the way you would lock the wheels up as I progressively slowed down and the car lost downforce. Once I understood it, and how you feathered out of the pedal as you slowed down it ...

Re: Speed problem in Spa
The first thing I do in any track is adjust the curb heights so they react more like what you see in real F1 of the time. I go into the track file and change the curb heights 1 and 2 to 5 and 8. This way accidentally touching a curb does not send you launching to the moon. This is much more enjoyabl...

...My car kind of loose power during that climbing section around Blanchimont, while CPUs car keep getting faster, even if just a little...... You must have a bad setup... I always gain ground there, they lift slightly in Blanchimont while I can go completely flat footed. The issue I have with the ...

Re: A1 Ring - Remus turn
Sorry it took me so long- here is the track that I modified (I did not create the original track).
I also included the jams (which have already been converted), and the magic data file that I use for the track when I drive it in slot 13.

Re: New tracks & carsets - Michael82
Thanks! I hope you will like this. For the 1984 season I have a carset for each race (with realistic performance) if you want? I actually just made my own by putting together bits and pieces I found... but I would love to check yours out. I usually change the engine/reliability and performance numb...

Re: New tracks & carsets - Michael82
Rio! Can't wait to use this one. I'm sure it is awesome like always. I I have 4 races to go in my 1990 season, then I will be doing a 1984 season, so I'll use this for it! thank you Michael82!

Re: A1 Ring - Remus turn
I had the exact same problem on the exact same track and I'll let you know how I solved it. first - why? GP2 seems to have been written so height transitions during steering events create a great understeer or oversteer. I think this is a little exaggerated and it not so prevalent in real life. Exam...

Re: 80's f1 mods
you really need to work on downloading the tracks you want and put them in different slots. Personally I find it best to do a season with single races and keep track of the results manually with a spreadsheet I save a magic data file for each track, and I tune the difficulty as I get better. This ma...

Re: GP2 Cheat Engine Memory Addresses
There is a lot of potential for modding here. There are some people who use cheat engine with the only other game I play (icr2 indycar racing 2) and very useful things can be done to make the game more realistic or challenging. I would LOVE to find out how we can change the draft effect in GP2 so th...

Re: help changing volume of "skidding" sound
Sounds much more aggressive but need to careful not to damage ears and speakers! Yes- please upload your sounds! I still use the exact same speakers I bought with with the original computer I played Gp2 on when I bought it in 1995. They are "gateway 2000". That computer was 90mhz. I later upgraded ...

Re: help changing volume of "skidding" sound
You are awesome my friend!
I will have to now find a good lamborghini V12 sound to add to my current season of the 1990 year. I have been running a 1997 Mercedes V10 sound for a while. It's amazing how cool gp2 sounds for a while when you load a new engine sound right?!

Re: help changing volume of "skidding" sound
Hi there! Did you find a solution to this skipping engine sound issue? Cheers :D No I ended up tuning the volume of the sound with the game sound volume settings.... kind of cheesy I know. I don't change game sounds that often so this isn't a problem I deal with a lot. I am probably doing something...
