Re: help changing volume of "skidding" sound
Sounds much more aggressive but need to careful not to damage ears and speakers! Yes- please upload your sounds! I still use the exact same speakers I bought with with the original computer I played Gp2 on when I bought it in 1995. They are "gateway 2000". That computer was 90mhz. I later upgraded ...

Re: help changing volume of "skidding" sound
You are awesome my friend!
I will have to now find a good lamborghini V12 sound to add to my current season of the 1990 year. I have been running a 1997 Mercedes V10 sound for a while. It's amazing how cool gp2 sounds for a while when you load a new engine sound right?!

Re: help changing volume of "skidding" sound
Hi there! Did you find a solution to this skipping engine sound issue? Cheers :D No I ended up tuning the volume of the sound with the game sound volume settings.... kind of cheesy I know. I don't change game sounds that often so this isn't a problem I deal with a lot. I am probably doing something...

Re: unrealistic (but very funny) breakdown
Wow- no pit stops!? I dont' think I have EVER done anything besides an even split 2 pit stop race... and usually by the end of the stint my rear is sliding because I need new tires. On some tracks I lower the tire wear to around 20,000 from the usual 25,000 is seems to be. My gp2 magic data and trac...

unrealistic (but very funny) breakdown
The other day I was racing a 100% length race at Spa, and I was doing excellent. I had been in 4th place, and my driving was very smooth that day for some reason. The transmission broke at the very bottom of the hill toward the end the lap... The car began to just roll. As I was losing speed I knew ...

Re: Better wet racing in GP2
I had my wires crossed- I forgot the smoke and fire animations were different. A water animation would need to be a little wider though- almost we need 2 thin ones where the tires are.

Re: Better wet racing in GP2
I don't know how well the smoke animation would work.. You'd need to get rid of the fire, and it would be kind of silly looking with all of the cars doing this.

Re: championship season and slot and tyre editor
One thing I notice- I have a really hard time focusing intently on driving sometimes when I play. As I make my way around the track and approach different corners I like to try and think in my mind about all of the areas where I screw up.... for example I will think something like: "Ok, turn-4 is co...

Re: championship season and slot and tyre editor
I can tell you this. Sometimes I start a race, and do a Friday qualifying session. Lets say I feel I get a reasonable lap, but I feel I can go faster but compared to the CC's I am on pole. I will save the game, exit gp2, and load up the magic data editor and turn up the CC grip values maybe 500 or s...

Standard dosbox runs the time at a faster rate than the original game. Try Dosbox ECE- it fixes this.

Re: Color distortions on some tracks
Guys- I need help. I did more testing today at Derek Hicks Montreal 2000 track and I found something really strange.... for some reason on 3 cars in my carset, the drivers don't have helmets for some reason. It's like they drive around the track completely missing a head. I also notice one of the he...

Re: newbie from France
It's so nice to see someone new on the site! When I read your story and saw how you worked with real f1 I literally said "oh wow". I remember when I rediscovered gp2 again and I loved how it made me feel. There are some great videos on how to set up gp2 with a modern wheel. There is a guy named Ted ...

The BMW Megatron 4 Cylinder turbo was nearly the 1400 horsepower you describe. I think it was 1350?
