Re: Color distortions on some tracks
Guys I want to tell you all about something that had me upset today before I figured it out. This will maybe prevent frustration for some of you. I loaded spain 98 today (a modified spain based on the original spain f1ct05). I am running a carset that has a green side on one of the cars. Just like w...

Re: New tracks & carsets - Michael82
Is this almost ready for download yet? Michael I've been reading about track editing in gp2 and I want to learn. I spent several years learning icr2 track editing and it's time for me to learn gp2 now. I hope it is easier.

Re: Hanoi Street Circuit, now available for GP2!
So nice to see others still making tracks! I am trying to learn how to do this now. I have been making ICR2 tracks for 5 years now and I decided to try GP2 track making.

Although I am not into new f1 (I have never heard of those drivers) I greatly appreciate your attention to detail and work for the game =)

Re: dosbox ece is dead
The problem is you absolutely must set the magic data time scaling factor to 16384 to take accurate measurements and know if your emulator is causing a problem, or if it's the normal adjustments that magic data does. I don't know if rremedio's tool works in linux with wine (never tried). When I ran ...

Re: dosbox ece is dead
Judging by the vogons forums it appears dosbox ece has gone the way of the dodo. Annoyingly its been deleted off github and the developers site. This is quite irritating as it was easily my favorite variant. What other versions do people recommend? My main criteria is that the Sim runs at normal sp...

Re: Slots and Tyres Editor 5.0
The new one I downloaded works much better - it no longer crashes. I tried it on a few slots and had no problems, just a little bit getting used to a slightly different feel.
I don't know what we'd do without this rremedio... thank you very much!!!!

Re: Polar moment of inertia of current F1 cars
Just wanted to give the team an update. I actually used rremedio's tool to change the polar moment of inertia and tested it out. The default is 247. I tried first decreasing it to 147 and the car becomes super-twitchy in the rear, almost any steering input puts it into an incredible spin. I then inc...

Re: Oval Championship Carset
It's great to see new content- if you are into ovals, you might like ICR2. I have made Sanair and the Chicago Cicero oval for the game since they weren't available before hand.

Re: Slots and Tyres Editor 5.0
I downloaded the slot/tires editor version you currently have. Previously I had version 1.1 and it would crash randomly when I tried to save files. This one works better but I haven't tested it enough to really see that it is fixed, was this a know problem with 1.1? I'm excited to experiment with so...

Re: Nine new tracks for GP2
I'm posting the GP2 track files shown in the photos above. - Zhuhai, China, F-1 1991 and Chinese motorsport 2004 Antonio - I have been driving at your Zhuhai 1999 and the first time I went into the pits I crashed since there is a graphical bug (it's hard to explain). After trying many times I can s...

Re: using logged data to adjust high speed dampers?
I studied this a couple of years ago and used AI to understand it and create macros for MoTec software (and also using F1perfview). A couple of books I found helpful were: Analysis Technique for Racecar Data Acquisition - Jorge Segers Making Sense of Squiggly Lines - Christopher Brown I haven't spe...

Re: using logged data to adjust high speed dampers?
Danny - thank you for your reply, I saw it the other day but I have been busy so I didn't get a chance to write back. I also saw the spot where the left rear was bottoming out. I was embarrassed that I missed this even when I was just reviewing the data in the game. I think the best way to fix this ...

Re: using logged data to adjust high speed dampers?
Well, I don't race with x86 gp2, I use dosbox ECE. (I might switch to this if they ever get it functional with all of the carsets/tracks and mods that I use).. I started saving lap data in GP2, and I started using f1perfview to review the data. With this it gives you the option to make a CSV file th...
