IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - 2019 carset

by: eky78

I´m finally able to release this IMSA Carset which covers the 2019 Season. It is my first closed wheel carset and, for GP2, the first with Prototypes and GTs together.
Thanks to:
- F.K. for the Prototype shape
- Greyhead for the GT shape and for some cars (expecially BMW and Porsche)
- rremedio for his program "shapecopy" that I used to merge the two carshapes in one file
- Orloff from granprix.com for his GP3 IMSA carset

There are some imperfections in the carset but it should be enjoyable.

Entries
In this carset there are all the full season entries from 3 different classes (DPi, LMP2 and GTLM). There are also some GTD cars (6) to make up the numbers.

The schedule (2019 Season)
Calendar Distance Total laps in 2019	Drivers per entrant

5 Belle Isle 1h40 58 2
6 Watkins Glen 6h 211 2 (GTs) 3 (Prototypes)

11 Laguna Seca 2h40 121 2
12 Road Atlanta 10h 465 3
* track not available yet for GP2
^ race was suspended and lasted only 22 hours

Suggestions for the remaining slots:
13 Austin
14 Baltimore
15 Barber
16 Le Mans

 - IMPORTANT -
For the standard events (2h40´ format) usually prototypes stop 3 times during a race (stints of around 40´), while the GTs can do the full distance with 2 stops (each stint around 50´). Download Ale's Pit&Lap Editor from grandprix2.de to make realistic strategies!

Racing against the AI could be problematic with multiclass racing in GP2. I´d suggest you to change the values of Power and Grip in GP2Edit to avoid too much inequality. Maybe in the future I could change the datas of every tracks with the Slot and Tyre Editor but I can´t promise now.

In the folder there is a GT cockpit in case you want to race in a GT car (in that case you need to load it with GP2 Edit)

 - BEWARE -
In some tracks (e.g. Mosport and expecially at Daytona) Prototypes tend to crash into the slower GTs, change the values in the Car Damage Editor in GP2Edit to avoid too many retirements. I don´t know if something can be done in the future to the cc-line of these two tracks.

I hope it´s everything...If you find any problem or you have any questions or suggestions don´t esitate to contact me on grandprix2.de.

Have fun!
Eky
