TdK, just out of interest, how do you work out the driver performance data? I can never be bothered to work it out properly myself.

I use MS Excel documents to work properly with the data. It works a bit like this:

1. I only have to fill in the lap time after the minut. So, for an example you drive a lap time of 1.25.275, I fill in 25.275.

2. Than the Excel form calculates with a 85.275 (25.275 + 60 - wich is 1 minute) an % difference. The fastest car has 0.00%, a car on that lap-time who drives 26.750 is 1.475 seconds slower - wich is 1.73% slower.

3. Than i place all the % data in one other form - from qualifying and race - and let it calculate an average. This average is used within the set as a driver performance / driver grip depending on engine power.

4. Random Grip Range: A grip of 429 more or less gives a difference of 1.00% only of driver grip, you can check this out in Gp2Edit. I multiply the differance between the average % of a driver and his highest % with 429. This gives the random grip range.
Example 1:
Worst : 0.37%
Average: 0.00%
0.37%---> (*429 = 158.73 = 159 --> Raikkonen)

Example 2:
Worst : 1.27%
Average: 0.45%
0.82%---> (*429 = 351.78 = 352 --> Alonso)

It's a long story  , but i hope it helps a bit. :? 8)

I did it with an exel-document, too. But when my PC went broken the document was lost and now I do it with my schools grafic pocket calculator (TI-83+) and a little self made programm on it

I also tried GP2power but it gave me some, quite frankly, bizarre results...

Because it uses positions as base and with that it calculates results.
Also i doesn't work good / correctly with the team engine power.

I use real lap times of qualifying and race. They are far more accurate then finish and qualifying positions... That's why. 8)

But bach to topic:
I played a 100% race with your set and Hamilton an AAS Australia 04 with Hamilton...
Won with 2 seconds.....
1: Hamilton
2:Raikkonen
3:Alonso

Your McLaren is very awesome! Much better than mine
Your style generally is beautiful...
[
Everytime I see thoses nice works I wonder if there is a "Henning Fisser"-style or if my cars just look like a cheap version of masters FKs things 8)
I really don't know...
But there is one thing, I do know: If I compair my first 2005 cars with my late 06 or 07 cars I see what big step I made

LOL, if you run another race probaly Alonso or Raikkonen wins.
I hope that hamilton does win a race this year. Would be great for formula 1 and brittain and motorsport in general. 8)

Every painter has it's own style. I'm glad to hear and see that lot's of people love my style... :D :P

Tdk, can I use this part of your cockpit? While playing the game I saw that this colour there is much more better than the other one.

(I mean the blue colour part in front of the steeringwheel)

That's OK... What do you mean by: "the other one" actually?

You can make it work with GP2Edit 1.86 very easily. You just have to change a few lines in the GP2Edit performance file...

Anyway, I tried making the laptimes thing work in Excel, but I keep getting weird too small performance differences.... I'm not an excel expert but usually I allways find the right answer and I like making these kinds of real life to game formula's..but I can't get it right.
Could you be a bit more specific maybe and help me out :P

Oh and a bit more on topic, Tim I really like your carsets, too bad the real Honda isn't in the 2007 one. But I'll be waiting patiently :)
