My first track (STOPPED PROJECT)!!!

Post by RacerBG »

Well I had studied a lot to understand the editor and the tracks files 8)

What I had discovered

.JAM files are the textures for each track and arent important when I edit specific track.

The .dat file is the track! This is the important file :-$

I had learned the basics and now I know which are the parts of the track and how to edit it. 8)

But this is the result

EDITED:Here is the better result but the computer is thinking that the track is going in different way

What is your base track? And what was the problem in the lower picture?

The problem in the lower picture is fixed (it was road heigh)

The problem in the upper picture is that the CC line or something else is going out of the track because I had rotated the original track :-k

Yes, you should remove the cc-line. That's easy, making a working one is a little harder.

After so many years when GP2 was introduced, it's great to see that there is still newcomers.

The layout is made by just changing the length and angle values in the track change dialog. I think you should make the layout you want (including pit lane) before the heights. Removing the heights at first makes editing much easier.

So first I must remove the heights of every track layot and then what....... :?:

This project sadly is going to be abandoned :( I can now edit little things like inserting new objects or add height or delete it, changing the info of the track BUT all other things are too complicated for me :|

Thats all for now =P~

THIS PROJECT IS CLOSED FOR UNLIMITED TIME :!:

It's not that complicated, just change the Length and Angle values and see how the shape of the track gets changed. For me making the heights is much more difficult.

I think reading the basic tutorials and watching existing tracks on the editor are the best ways to learn.
