McLaren 2007

Post by AD »

After having spent some time last night and this morning painting, I've come up with this:

This is based on FK's latest McLaren. The sidepods are actually an adaption of the beautifully useful studio shots of the MP4-22 that were released today. I wouldn't know how to do it any other way. ;-)

I've also included an update of Alonso's helmet that eventually did look a little different than Autosport thought it would.

AAS, feel free to upload this to your site. :)

Actually the DJS' McLaren was completely painted by me. So it's MY McLaren, OK!? Thank you!

Fridtjof, I'm sorry I have obviously made a mistake with the credits. I've corrected the gp2form immediately after I saw this and re-uploaded the archive.

I think making excuses doesn't do anything, I guess I either didn't know correctly or I should have asked. My mistake.

I can just promise I'll make sure it won't happen again.

Thank you AD. Maybe I got a bit too furious, but this McLaren is something special for me, because I never invested so much time in any other car for GP2 as I did for it. I like your updated version btw.

Indeed Fridtjof did the whole McLaren, every day he updated it a bit more untill he was satisfied. I can remember it like it was yesterday....

AD, the car looks very good, I've downloaded it already!

I have my version of the McLaren almost ready, just needs Vodafone on the frontwing.
I used parts made by AD, but I have made several changes on them.
I think you will enjoy it when it's finished.

It's funny to see how things have evolved in GP2. The community is small now so people "borrow" parts from each others cars ;)

Nice to see it's tight-knit though!

Just saw that your backwing isn't correct at all. There are to many logos, look here: http://www.mclaren.com/interactive/wallpapers/2007/MP4-22_3_1280.jpg (to big to show it in forum)

You're correct, it's inaccurate... although I think the logos have changed positions... the individual logos seem to be the same as 2006...
