Solution: Take a normal GP2-bitmap (e.g. the basic one from GP2edit) and copy your bitmap into it, then save it as 256-colour-bitmap.
Can we make GP2 to use for example .png files not 256 colors bitmap :?: Or for that we must hardcore edit the all hex code for the game :-k

Wonderful idea. It's sad that Dehumanizer isn't working at it at the moment. :-k

You're right, school is more important.

One thing: in your idea each team has to be the car of the nation?

Mh, it's better to give an example:
Team Germany car: Schumacher-Bellof
Team England car: Mansell-Moss
Team Canada car: J.-G. Villeneuve
Or you could place them in others teams (I was thinking about a constructor of their own nation!)?
For example:
Porsche Schumacher-Bellof
BRM Mansell-Moss.
Wolf: J.-G. Villeneuve
etc. etc.

I was thinking about this..

In the case you (all) like my suggestion, my choices would be (including two drivers of the so-called "golden age " of motorsport, the 30s) :

Argentina - Maserati : Fangio - Reutemann
Australia - Brabham : Brabham - Jones
Austria - Red Bull : Lauda - Berger
Brazil - Copersucar : Fittipaldi - Senna (imagine Senna driving a Copersucar...it's crazy ahhaha)
Canada - Wolf : G.- J. Villeneuve
England - BRM : Moss - Mansell
Scandinavia - Saab : Hakkinen - Peterson
France - Matra : Prost - Arnoux (or Alesi or Laffite)
Germany - Porsche : Schumacher - Bernd Rosemeyer (Bellof, if you want only F1 drivers)
Italia - Ferrari : Ascari - Nuvolari (Alboreto, as I wrote above)
Nippon - Honda : Kazuyoshi Hoshino - Satoru Nakajima (Hoshino was the first japanese driver in a grand prix; Nakajima was the first japanese who took points...)
N.Zealand - McLaren : McLaren - Hulme or Amon
Scotland - Tyrrell : Stewart - Clark
USA - Eagle : Andretti - Gurney

I think it could be good. :D

I like both ideas. But I just think Rindt must be in any "motorsport legends" carset. Not just becouse of his title, but for being the greatest F2 driver from all time.

And not only him (Surtees, Graham Hill, Regazzoni..) But there is a solution: the spare drivers. We could do a basic carset, including some spare drivers so anyone could substitute what he wants! \:D/

Now I'll wait for DH's answer.

While waiting, I kept the work going on (according to my personal idea).

Helmets and menu helmets (photos) are ready, and now I'm editing the cars (I must convert them all to the new number layout..).

And I need a cockpit: my personal cockpit is an "alpha" testing cockpit with very rough graphics, I cannot include it..
This bring me to ask this: how I have to behave about others' people stuff?

Example: I took nearly all the ingame-helmets from existing carsets. Is this admitted (obviously I would quote the authors in gp2form), or not? :-k

Work is in progress. I'm already playing with those cars..

Some preview shots

Shot 1: Motodrom: Alboreto on Ferrari (of course :D) is chasing Reutemann on Maserati. Behind them Arnoux on Renault is overtaking G.Hill on the Nimrod-Aston Martin.

Shot 2: menu picture: Brazil-Copersucar team.

Shot 3: Hockenheim: Senna on Copersucar is ahead of Villeneuve on Eagle. In 3rd position there is Schumacher's Rothmans Porsche.
