Hey HF, you shouldn't just stop your work on the GP2 carset! I'm sure we'd all love to see what you've done as well. There aren't many of us patchers left!

Well I know that I promised that the GP2-2006 set would be completed in mid-January, and now it's mid-February... I apologise for this, health problems (namely a bad back) have interfered with my plans to a fair degree but the carset should be with you soon. Basically just the helmets to paint and a few other little bits.

Thanks HF, but things should be OK.

Well, I've only gone and done it...

Finally the car set is complete. I'm about to send it to Andreas for the grandprix2.de site, but if you really can't wait for it to appear there then e-mail me and I'll send it you.

Mind you, it'll probably be on the site before I get chance to send it to you!

Hmm, not online yet, but as I check out grandprix2.de very regulary I guess I'll be the first who'll download it when it's online!

I hope I'll find some time to play with it, the Albi F3-race made much fun and so I guess GP2-series will be much fun too. Can't await it!

Well don't get your hopes up too much... it looks OK but to be honest the driver performances are a little inaccurate... For some reason, although the GP2Edit preformance calculator tells me several drivers should be able to win races, what actually tends to happen is that Lewis Hamilton will be about 1.5 seconds faster than everyone else...

Your way you did your job is well! To use "simple" cars, without so many effects give GP2 in any way the "old" GP2-Feeling back. Look at the spykere. It would be easier to use a normal orange car with some ads. You won't have such problems with the orange. GP2 would make the rest.

Your part 2 is really well to play! Very good work!

Thanks HF! Yeah I prefer the simple look, I know a lot of patchers "Photoshop" things from real pictures and then fit them onto the bitmap somehow (which I imagine is pretty difficult) but I just prefer to draw things from scratch. My way doesn't always look as good but I just prefer to work that way.
