In the last post, I meant to say that my first bitmap doesn't work well WITH the carshape. The carshape is great though, DJS. The shape works fine.

I'm not very good at making road-car bitmpas from scratch, in fact I'm awful at it, as you may have seen from my previous attempt in the last post, so I am leaving my graphics labels for Herbie on here so someone else can do a better job!!

If someone can help, I'd be so grateful!!

I'm having a go at it myself, hopefully the fruits of my labours will be done for the weekend. I feel this could actually form part of a semi-serious carset based on "The Love Bug", we could see how Herbie would go against the Thorndike Special and all those E-types...

Oh WOW!!

I never thought of that!! That would be brilliant, Greyhead!!

I'm now starting to go into random tangents about how to then do "Monte Carlo" and "Fully Loaded" but I think "The Love Bug" might satisfy my appetite!!

But if you're making a carset with a Herbie bitmap included, I am getting very excited!!!

Greyhead, you have excelled yourself!!!

That is spectacular!!

This of course means that now using Herbie's bitmap as a template, we can create a VW Beetle Cup as well. Sweet!!

Well it seems that Herbie has joined the GP2 leagues. I have a feeling this may now be my entry to the Goodwood event. After all he is a 1963 VW Beetle 1300.....

I think the carshape is a bit too wide, but all in all a very funny project.

I see now. #-o
Maybe I find some time to improve it, but first I'll focus on the F2009 and all other 2009 cars that will be presented soon. O:)

I wouldn't worry too much, it could be part of a comedy "city cars" car set, the shape looks a lot like a FIAT 500!

The Herbie idea works really well with the WTCC carset if you change all the other cars to low nose cones, and you make Herbie's bhp 400 for qualifying and 600 for the race. The winning from the back is fantastic!!

Right now we need to put the Herbie carshape alongside the Group C carshape (low nose and high nose). Now THAT would be incredible......
