As always amazing job and very very accurate! Many thanks once again \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

One question: which carset and which tyres are you using for 1989?

Thanks for your comments! :D :D The tyres used in the video are from my 1984's mod and I tried to improve the 1989 carset of Augusto-Lopes but it isn't finished. I can post it here if you want. About Canada it is in progress but it is the old Montreal before 1987. I could make other versions for 1988-1990 and 1991-...

Congrats, Michael! Suzuka now has a real realistic version for GP2, which we can really feel driving a late 1980s or early 1990s F-1 car around that fabulous Japanese circuit. One of the best tracks I've seen for GP2!

From a post of our friend Ismael in the other topic:

"Regarding Suzuka, I could be even more demanding: along with a contemporary version, we could also have a side version bending/mixing the 1987-2001 versions, or focusing on one of them (like it was in 1994, for instance)."

Let me just confirm that Michael82 has finished his Suzuka work and totally complied with this request of mine! Many, many thanks!
The first time I got out of the pitlane, I dived smoothly to turn 1, as it is so fast - so realistic, unlike the vanilla version.
Then, going through Dunlop, I keep my "foot" down to check I could go through it - and I ended up in the barriers, just like I dreamt of!!
Oh, and doing a quick race, I was faster than the slower cc-cars over Dunlop - but no way of overtaking them round the outside, a la Jacques Villeneuve (Portugal 96), like in the vanilla version. I still have a lot of work to do if I want to be competitive!

The GP2_Suzuka_1989 is really incredible and the ultimate Suzuka version!
I strongly agree. It's the most realistic Suzuka I've seen!

Very thanks you Antonio and Ismael. It is very important to me to read yours comments about this track. :D
I would try to make the 1990's version of suzuka (Just change the casio chicane and some adverts, objects.. not be too long in theory)

Another amazing track from you Michael.

All of your track versions replace my "vanilla" gp2 tracks that are original. Your work is the finest!

Montreal is a challenge because it had a bunch of minor adjustments

-Early 80's had the pit right after the tight hairpin and the extra curve before what I would normally call the first hairpin
-Late 80's moved the pit forward, and eliminated this corner before the first hairpin (still had the wavy straight before the pits)
-Early 90's is the version that Microprose tried to use - only minor tightening of final chicane
-94/95 is the version with the 'safety chicane' on the final stretch
-late 90's is the version with no ziggy-zag in the final stretch - it is a true straight

I was missing a story from few days ago about my first lap into Michael's Suzuka 89:
I installed Suzuka track and the 1989 Formula 1 carset uploaded by Michael here on the forum.
Supreme carset! Supreme sounds!
The track, so amazingly detailed! We can feel ouselves really into 1989 Japanese GP!
I chose the #1 McLaren-Honda car, from my childhood hero: Ayrton Senna
I drove the first lap at Michael's Suzuka, riding on Ayrton's car. The feeling is like I'm driving on 1989 Suzuka, into the onboard camera.

And the most important fact:
When I was going into the Casio Triangle chicane...I missed the turn! I had been breaking so hard and so late, then, the car just passed by, trough the tire barriers on the old-layout sweep turn. Just like Senna in 1989 after being hit by Prost.

After a travel through the twisty and ziggy-zag through the tire barriers, my conclusion is: This is the safest way to return to the track!

Mr.Ballestre had not enough time to being now driving into Michael's 1989 Suzuka on 1989 Ayrton's car to realize it...

So cool, Antonio  :)
I have failed the braking for the Casio triangle almost every time of the few laps I tried. However, I always got to brake enough to turn into it, more or less orderly - gosh, the chicane is likely the point of the circuit where I'm slower, right now.
But now I'll have to check for myself the escape area, as per Antonio indications

 Haha
Ballestre was completly wrong. I had the same experience when I made the track. I noticed too that the car seems flying when it is in the escape area.. I didn't know how fix it. ](*,)

I changed the physics for this carset (in the excellent gp2magic) in order to force the car to brake a little bit sooner. (Change "brake distance" from the original value 22000 to 16000 maybe) It seems more realistic.
