Anyone heard about this already? 18-years old Henry Surtees, son of John Surtees - former F1 driver, lost his life yesterday after a Formula 2 accident on Brands Hatch....

R.I.P. :(

Still, after all the hard safety work, motorsport is (still) dangerous... :|

He'd just taken his first podium in F2 as well the day before. This lad had a bright future. Just to show the freak nature of the accident, the last time a fatality like this happened was also in an F2 race in 1980, nearly thirty years ago! Just shows that no matter how safe you make something, you can't take away the random elements of chance completely.

It was nice to see who tributes came from, obviously there's a Ferrari connection from John Surtees but it was still nice to see Felipe Massa to pay homage to Henry.

Tragic and most unlucky, without a doubt, because no matter how much it's of course possible for a wheel to come off during an accident of this kind, it takes some probability for it to actually hit another driver.
