Re: GP2 a Glide Based game?
I don't think this is spam.
From wikipedia:
Glidos supports :
Tomb Raider I
Descent II
The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard
Carmageddon
Extreme Assault
Grand Theft Auto
Dreams to Reality
Blood
Screamer 2
Red Baron
I think Glidos works with 3dfx games, not for GP2.

Re: GP2 a Glide Based game?
I might be wrong, but I think GP2 has all its graphic calculations coded in its exe and doesn't use any 3d api such glide, d3d or opengl.
Re: GP2 a Glide Based game?
It was just around the time when video cards with 3d APIs came up, but GP2 as is doesn't appear as if it was coded to support it. It's always been pixelly software rendering, all the way.
Ubisoft's F1 Racing, which unless I misremember also came out in 1996, had 3dfx/glide support.

1996 .. 2024 .. 28 years and counting ..
