I installed vdms into my gp2, then clicked on setup but auto detect sound card says can't detect your sound card. Any idea?

i think that you dont need to do that at all... probably you have windows xp ..when i had gp2 with windows xp and after having installed vdmsound i have done the following. go the gp2 .exe , right click and then choose run with vdmsound.. and then you have sound.. that worked with me.. i used past tense due to the have fact that i dont have windows xp anymore. the best way , to my mind of course ,to run gp2 is via dosbox.. maybe you should try it
