First-time setup advice?

Hi guys,
I used to play GP2 as a kid way back on my dad's Windows 95 PC. Recently I've been craving the nostalgia.
I don't have the disc any more, and I want to play the game on my current Windows 8.1 desktop if possible. Can you guys recommend in the simplest terms how to get the game up and running on my PC for a first timer?
Sorry if I'm a bit of a noob with this, maybe I will get into some of the mods and stuff later. They look really cool.
