GP2Lap on Windows 7?

Post by Rasmus »

Hello everyone, I'm new to this community and this question might have been asked before. I've searched for it, but I simply can't figure out how I get GP2Lap to work on my Windows 7 pc.

I know it should be run using dosbox, but how? I don't know much about this stuff.. :)

I hope anyone can help me

Cheers,
Rasmus

You must use the latest version 0.74 also there are a plenty of tutorials on the internet how to run DOS games in DOSBOX so you will be ready to go.

There are no real valid solution for GP2lap.. Dosbox svn works but is slow with all graphics..
I tested everything.. perhaps with a very modern processor is different..
It is incredible to see that.. this very good old game doesn't work correctly today on fast machines..
Personally I prefer play to gp2 than F1 2013.. so it is a problem for me. Fortunately I have a old pc..

DOSBox 0.74 works perfectly for me.

You need to mount your GP2 directory into DOSBox and start GP2Lap.

GP2 with DOSBox is very demanding on my laptop (more than some modern games), but playable with full frame rate.
