I checked today my CD-ROM's and found something interesting: The original Demo of Grand Prix 2!

As you all know, Grand Prix 2 is freeware and so downloadable. But I want to ask you, if you want to see the demo on this site?

Informations about the demo:

Avalible is a short race on the Monza Circuit for 1 Player.

The only problem left is, that you need the CD, where the Demo is to run it & and no nocd Patch works. :/ Let's see what I can do, to play it without cd, and if it's possible, I'll send AAS the Demo.

EDIT2: PROBLEM IS FIXED!!! AAS, you will get the Demo install Files ;)

Ok, the problem is Fixed, the demo works, but 1 big problem for the file sending is left: The Size of the Install files are 257 MB big! So I need to upload the folder on Rapidshare/Megaupload and set the link here.

I remember winning a demo version of GP2 in 1998 at the Birmingham Motor Show, basically Microprose had set up two "cockpits" and two people raced against each other on GP2, and whoever won got a demo CD with a raceable Silverstone on it. I beat my friend by about 0.2 seconds. We both already had the full game though...

A quote from Wikipedia about abandonware:

"In most cases, software classed as abandonware is not in the public domain, as it has never had its original copyright revoked and some company or individual still owns exclusive rights. Therefore, sharing of such software is usually considered copyright infringement."

Basically, abandonware is simply software that its creator no longer offers support for because it's old - the copyright is still in force.

Ah ok. But the Demo Version is free to use? I mean, because it's got to be a version of the game to share with the people and get them into the game.
